Why I think NBA jerseys are being ruined

they remind me of high school scrimmage jerseys...we called them "pennies" in our schools. U flip it inside out and its another color makes scrimmaging during practice way better...but yea these new nba jerseys looki like "pennies"

The problem with soccer jerseys (which you kind of acknowledged) is the ads are too damn big. Just look at this disgusting shyt. If I didn't know the name of the team, I would think they play for TeamViewer.

Fans hated the minimalist stuff, but any time a gaudy designed city jersey dropped, most got shytted on. Nike can't win, and they try this with every other league they endorse.
We don't need a new jersey every year. We just don't. Some of us wanna hold onto a certain design and stick to it. Unless the team is doing a total rebrand or a team is doing a one-off for some special reason, leave well enough alone. I can't say I've seen people clamor for most of these jerseys anyway.
Some designs are too bulletproof to fukk with, so for teams like the Lakers, Bulls, Celtics, stop. Please stop.

No biased. I have an avi of El Pibe, but I grew up playing basketball and soccer way back in the early 90's.
I'm now just used to seeing the ads on the front of a soccer kit so it doesn't bother me as much. Some ads are absolutely terrible and some I barely even notice now. Soccer was just smart decades ago and saw a multi million dollar idea and ran with it. Expect the ads on NBA jerseys to grow with time though.
I just feel like wearing a basketball jersey looks goofier than wearing a soccer jersey. You can go out in public with a soccer jersey on and it looks cleaner.
Also if that Manchester United jersey is disgusting you to South American teams would really make you sick.

The designs from the 1980s and early 1990s were still the best imo. They were minimal but still had creative design and logos. Now when we look back they have a great retro vibe, but that's because they were great designs that have aged well.
For example outside of the classic like the Lakers, Celtics, etc. and the ones who they've decided to keep like the Hornets, Heat, Magic if they kept the Timberwolves, Mavericks, Nuggets, Bucks, Hornets designs from the 80s they still would've been great today.

Not that serious. The purple Raptor dino jersey was hard but we only played in it for like 3-4 years and switched to a similar jersey (in purple) to the one Scottie rocking now. There was only a few dope jerseys back in the day. Most of the shyt was trash
Some good revisionist history with a few of those jerseys in the tweets, those Pistons and Wizards uniforms weren't celebrated at all, especially when they went away from the original color scheme of the preceding uniforms.
