Why have Lil Wayne and Birdman avoided criticism about bringing Drake to the culture?

So Drake aint about colonizer and a vulture? :sas2:

OP I have no clue why Birdman and Wayne went with Drake.

I'm not on the Kendrick battle bandwagon, but I NEVER liked Drake as a rapper, I only have his very first album, and the only reason I ever listen to Drake is when he's featured on someone else's hot song.

I fukk with Wayne and Nicki heavy

but Drake :camby:

maybe Birdman saw dollar signs and figured he had a Will Smith that cursed

but I feel exactly the same about Drake as K Dot and DMX at first when he Ethered Drake on The Breakfast Club

and another thing I don't get about Cash Money signing him is he don't even write his own raps, Drake got an army of ghostwriters so he's definitely not on any goat list, I don't care what Wayne or Nicki says, and like I said I really like Wayne and Nicki

Drake was heating up heavy before he was Young Money. Rolling with YMCMB absolutely helped him out big time but he already had the buzz. He probably signed a 360 deal anyway so as a business man Birdman did the right thing. He saw a walking lick and ran with it :yeshrug:

As time has gone by. And the big picutre has revealed itself.

You realize. Drake was never "hot" like that. You boys need to stop the cap. Drake was not some hot budding up and coming underground mixtape rapper that Wayne just stumbled upon.

He was a product of the time where Cash Money were mixy nikkas. What happened is, same way J.Prince be doing te friendly extortion shyt nowadays.

He did that with Drake and Cash Money. No different than Ali Zoe n them Zoe pound nikkas putting Brisco on Wayne. Or them blood nikkas pushing Jay Rock on Wayne.

Cash Money was in the mix and street nikkas are always looking to try and find a come up. J.Prince son brough him and big fish and deals was made.

Drake is more a J.Prince/Rap-A-Lot product but they were smart enough to know to funnel him thru Cash Money. Wouldnt be surprised if J.prince still eating off Drake to this day.

Funny how "get the bag" culture resulted in this, but people are scared of calling out the people that gave Drake a platform in music industry the first place.

Outside in real life, Black folks have always loved Wayne, Drake, and Cash Money / YMCMB despite these dusty Gen-X threads trying to rewrite history.

They really are trying to rewrite history lol
Most black people in general love Drake

The beef was cool for rap but most black folks especially down south will always rock with Drake

But a lot of the "get the bag by any means" paradigm led to the extreme watered down music and trends. The "stop hating, I'm getting money" backfired something serious, and it was 15 fukking years of Drake domination thanks to Weezy and Birdman introducing this vulture to Hip Hop.
Breh, I'm not defending them. I'm giv8ng you the mindset. Drake has been propped up by the entire industry because he makes nikkas money. We can blame a lot of rappers for him being allowed to be a vulture:yeshrug:

So Pusha T, Budden, and Kendrick are wrong? They should have been starving right now, but 2 out of the 3 of them are more popular than ever.

Everyone you’ve listed have either collaborated, co-signed or toured with him at some point.
All this fake virtue signaling about culture got y’all crashing out.

In reality He's really Brian Austin Green with a Industry paint job. Give him access to ghostwriters, million dollar studios, connections to the A listers and he's a whole new person. Despite how many times he tries to hide it by refusing to do interviews with hip hop platforms, His inner Karen will always show whenever it be through his actions or through the way he talks which is why he adapts accents like infinity stones.

He's really the prototype of the corny dude turned cool on some Arnie Cunningham shyt and made it which is why many here worship him and guys like Akademiks and Mal defend him because he's really them. The only reason he was able to thrive like he did was because of the connections to Rap A Lot and Cash Money. The majority of the industry are cool with them entities for the most part and Wayne at the time was the hottest thing smoking so they didn't want to jeopardize a relationship telling them that their new signee is corny as fukk. Its a relatonship based business so folks tolerated the corny dude being around out of respect to them.
