Why have Lil Wayne and Birdman avoided criticism about bringing Drake to the culture?

ymcmb are the most hated collective in hip hop lol
It’s cause they were a collection of some of the weakest artists ever that were very popular and had a movement. That’s almost unheard of. Imagine the NWO somehow reaching the heights they did, but with Buff Bagwell, Jeff Jarrett, and Konnan leading the charge instead of Hall, Nash, and Hogan :mjlol:

they are not at fault for his flaws

tune & bird were encouraging him to stay in the pop lane

told him keep it clean no tatts no stereotypical rapper shyte but he was thirsty for that image & tripped himself up chasing it

*"Keep it Canadian"

*Aubrey went rouge after Nothing Was The Same

*After that album nothing was the same

Why would you get shyt for making millions off a mark? That's literally all hip hop has done to him. These nikkas see him as p*ssy that ain't too dry for the customers🤷🏿‍♂️

But a lot of the "get the bag by any means" paradigm led to the extreme watered down music and trends. The "stop hating, I'm getting money" backfired something serious, and it was 15 fukking years of Drake domination thanks to Weezy and Birdman introducing this vulture to Hip Hop.

Why did the fans accept Drake into the culture is the only real question
He came out the gate in a more Kanye lane of just dropping really good albums. Was pretty uncontroversial and was just seen as a nice guy. No reason not to accept him although a lot of older rap fans hated his soft image.

So if you believe everything to be true what you wrote there should be no criticism

Y’all gotta stop Drake was performing on the chitterling circuit in Mississippi, Memphis, and Texas before he blew up lol and normally visits Memphis and Mississippi

He worked for it. So far gone was a real wave. Good music is good music. Fans accepted that.
