Why hasn't a shooting guard ever been drafted 1st overall in the NBA?

I think the only thing worse than a dumb nikka is a smart-dumb nikka, and he's running rampant through this thread. :snoop:

Arguing AI was never drafted as a PG in the NBA is the same as arguing that LeBron was never drafted as a PG in the NBA and he was.

That is definitely not the same as that.

Just cause Iverson was dominate at the high school and college level and always had the ball doesnt make him a pg. You would be an idiot as a coach with someone as talented as iverson to not always have the ball in his hands at those levels.

Iverson and marbury were compared early on cause they were two young guards out of the same draft class and made for a good storyline

:wtf:

Just shows who was actually watching basketball and who was watching "Rugrats" at the time:yeshrug:

Anyways to answer the question, there has never been a SG deserving of the #1 overall pick in any of the drafts

LeBron James was a PG all through HS....and was the starting PG for the Cavs his first year as well. I guess yall nikkas are too young to remember that far back:yeshrug:

I would know, I live here in Cleveland and covered him during his HS years and 1st year in the NBA. He was switched to SG in his 2nd year, then SF in his 3rd year and been there ever since....but whatever, I guess Im the one that's wrong here.

And SG's are the least important position on the basketball court.
