There are black people from other countries playing in the big name leagues on historic teams.

But none from America, NONE are even the face of a MLS team.

The biggest name in MLS is Dempsey or Donovan. Dempsey being the biggest player internationally. The biggest black player the US has is Altidore.

What is up with this? In high school I played but I was trash. I had no shot of anything.

I mean, pretty much every city or every city over has a rec soccer league, most high schools have one too. I've seen a lot of the black kids I played with just stopped playing. Why tho? I'm sure if wanted to, at least ONE could take over.

Black people's athleticism is overrated...Culture has more to do with why blacks dominate in basketball than anything else...

Notice that except for basketball, blacks don't dominate any other sport that requires a development of great skill...For example, the QB position...How come blacks are not dominant in this position...?

I have read people on this forum state that "the QB position is the hardest position to play in sports"...Now, if blacks are more athletic and just equally intelligent as whites, why haven't blacks been historically successful in this position...? Especially since they dominate ALMOST every single position in the NFL...?

Also, blacks don't dominate the punting position...I am sure there is black child out there who knows he is not going to be a great WR or RB, so he might as well try his luck at the punting position were his "superior athleticism" will get him a smoother entry into the NFL...

No African country has ever won the world cup, and soccer is the number 1 sport in Africa...Furthermore, African players DON'T dominate in the foreign soccer leagues...Africa is not necessarily a goldmine of soccer talent...

My brothaz n sistaz of the coli, let me handle this one :handshake:
Black people's athleticism is overrated...Culture has more to do with why blacks dominate in basketball than anything else...
You are welcome to your opinion, but you do realize there is this thing called "stereotypes"
In an inner city for instance, there isn't as many if any fields for youth to play other sports. Basketball requires concrete which can be found everywhere in a city. So thats why the sport is more popular in those areas. But for an overall perspective black ppl now make up 9% of the USA. Spanish pop has dropped us from our previous 12%
So how is we we under 10% of the population but dominate? You think basketball isn't popular in white areas bruh? Indiana lives and breaths basketball. Just one example of 100's
Notice that except for basketball, blacks don't dominate any other sport that requires a development of great skill...For example, the QB position...How come blacks are not dominant in this position...?
Because of white supremacy bruh. You ever hear of the Rooney Rule? Are you aware of Jerry Jones feelings about Manziel even tho its already been proven he isn't that good?
But he's getting every opportunity to play/start/shine... if they don't want him, Dallas will take him.
That's that privilege doggy :birdman:

A previous Heisman trophy winner by the name of Charlie Ward couldn't even get a shot in the league
AND THE LEAGUE TOLD HIM THIS BEFORE HE EVEN GOT TO THE DRAFT :wow:
So he ends up playing in the NBA because he was so talented. Long story short, you seem to be clueless on how black people don't get fair opportunities to shine. And if they do? The media which is ran by rich white guys, will do whatever they can to tear down a person. Warren Moon, Randal Cunningham, excellent QB's who never got the types of shots they deserved. You just remember them getting a shot at all and think they didn't do more because they wasn't capable? WRONG  Historically white people feel they are more intelligent than people of color, do you remember the Donovan McNabb QB test, they tried to say that brotha was too dumb to play the position. You remember that bruh bruh?
You might have forgotten that because they hounded McNabb his entire career cuz he was a black QB that was winning
http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/8/21/4640364/donovan-mcnabb-eagles-retrospective-stupid-people
^^^ Just so you can brush up and stop being clueless to reality ^^^
Also, blacks don't dominate the punting position...I am sure there is black child out there who knows he is not going to be a great WR or RB, so he might as well try his luck at the punting position were his "superior athleticism" will get him a smoother entry into the NFL...
Or maybe the black kids who play are good enough to fill out the roster.. you know, like how it is in the NFL :snoop:
If a black kid isn't very good at Football, he'll probably play a different sport.
Who the fukk as a kid goes "I'm good just being the punter" :laff:
Any kid from any race can strive to be a punter, and real talk. More ppl should do that, easy career imo
But I wouldn't blame black ppl for the lack of black punters. If we had as many ppl in the USA as white ppl?
There wouldn't be any white punters either... think about it :usure:
No African country has ever won the world cup, and soccer is the number 1 sport in Africa...Furthermore, African players DON'T dominate in the foreign soccer leagues...Africa is not necessarily a goldmine of soccer talent...
Well...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/debates/african_debates/607285.stm
Fifa President Sepp Blatter made his feelings known shortly before the start of the tournament in Accra when he said clubs should not be allowed to sell promising young players below a set minimum age.

"It is time to fight against the exodus of young players from Africa," he said.
And while plenty of african players dominate, the country itself struggles because of financial instability
But, Nigeria in the knockout round lost to the champions in overtime 2-1 :sas2:
So you don't seem to even KNOW what you hating on bruh. NOT surprising since that is usually how it works with the ignorant :manny:

It really is as simple as we don't play it.

People get caught up on whether the attributes that give bball players an advantage (i.e. height) would translate to soccer, but in reality it doesn't matter. The road to the nba is littered with folks who, despite their GREAT athletics, are unable to overcome the disadvantage their short height places on them.

A different cream might rise to the top of the crop, but an athlete is an athlete and bball and soccer are the most athletic sports out there.

As a black American, you're at a disadvantage against Europeans, South American, African players to become a world star since these guys have more of a soccer culture, desire to make it and better formations as well. In a lot of the world, soccer is played by the poor class and is a way to get out of poor living conditions wheras it's mostly American football and basketball for African American. Star players in soccer began playing at REALLY early ages and train hard as fukk to make it, often playing hours and hours when they're not training. Unless the perception of soccer changes in the US and taps into a more "urban" demographic, Black American will still be at a severe disadvantage.

It was Algeria, not Nigeria btw.

Where many murders occur

:dahell: It takes more than wanting to, dude. Many black players want to, they're just not good enough. There's a ton of factors that need to go right. Players of EVERY race and ethnicity are trying to be the top dog, but it just so happens that an Argentine and Portuguese are at the top. And now a Colombian doing work, James Rodriguez.

Your question is just dumb. There is no guarantee to success. The WPOY can come from poverty or wealth, can be black or white, we just don't know who will dominate. Stern John was a badass and he's from T&T, a country many don't even know about.

If there's a successful black footballer from here, it'd be nice to see him play for the NT of his heritage, then son the cacs on the pitch. Like Guisseppe Rossi.
It really is as simple as we don't play it.
T&T hardly plays it, yet they still produced Stern John. Many blacks do play it, they're just not world class. They just don't have the talent, and there's no guarantee they ever will.

The next top dog might come from India for all we know. No one has a birthright to football, not Brasil, Germany, no one.
Plus American youth have many sporting options and have less visibility of successful soccer players... Black kids aren't seeing Balotelli, Sterling, Howard, Altidore as role models... This will change IF there is that first random black soccer megastar
Fyp. there's no guarantee there will be that first random black soccer megastar. And even if there is, there's also no guarantee black youth will start liking this sport. It's a sissy sport, it will never be popular here.

Algeria is arab/berber/mixed people with different ethnicities and mostly raised/trained in France and Nigeria is exclusively black (only one player has a Russian mother) :manny:

Well, both are African and play in European clubs anyway :yeshrug:

Lack of youth club culture is the answer - goes for black, white, Latino, whatever

It's not even "street culture" - the Germans ain't playing soccer in the street, they are sons of doctors, engineers and professors that simply grow up playing in the youth club system

Plus American youth have many sporting options and have less visibility of successful soccer players... Black kids aren't seeing Balotelli, Sterling, Howard, Altidore as role models... This will change when there is that first random black soccer megastar

Is every German player the sons of rich people? You have many who grew up on middle class, of immigrant decent..etc

What do you mean by "first random black soccer megastar"? Do you mean African American instead of black?
