There are bad bytches in Mississippi. I know for sure most of y’all nikkas ain’t been there talking all crazy.

You up north fakkits better get off the Sip back..punk ass nikkas wouldn’t survive one day in Mississippi but us country nikkas can thrive in the city or the country.

Mississippi is the epicenter of American music in general. They’ll be alright if they don’t have any rappers with top 40 hits.

:wow: real music

Facts, and I’m a city Carolina nikka.

The H
Mississippi is barely under 3 million in population & most end up moving out of state to GA, TN, & LA. When you consider the talent that has come out, its not that bad by the numbers in reality. & what Mississippi has produced, has been pretty influential, especially the Crooked Lettaz of the world. Arkansas & Oklahoma are two states that have produced next to nothing, no offense to anyone from there.

Na
D.C & Bmore are cultural deserts and there's more black ppl in gentrified Bed stuy & Crown heights sections of Brooklyn then there are in B more & D.C combined.
The real mystery is Detroit. Swag, Club culture, Car culture, actual black cultural center, strong Hiphop culture and musical legacy....D12 :mjlol:

I blame poor public schools

Got a lot of family roots in the sip. Mom was born in Centreville and stayed till she was six. Grandfather was a pastor so with the Emmitt Till fallout going on, they moved to CA for a better life. She still visited every summer through high school. Also every other year now. Loves it. Took me to visit for a week back in 2004 including Biloxi (sis born there) where my pops was stationed at while in the Airforce. First Hooters was in Biloxi Beach (still have the shirt) . Also been to Natchez and Gulfport. My week trip was cool until the fourth day . I ain't about that country life for that long :whoa:

There wasn't much of a rap scene outside of David Banner then but my cousins put me on to Chamillionaire :ehh:

Too much family roots to ignore .

Jamaican Somali nikkas from Canada in here saying one of the states that laid a part of the foundation for Hip Hop isn't Hip Hop.:dead:this why AAs need to start taking this type of shyt more seriously. This shyt is culture, not just entertainment.

Much of the Hip Hop attitude comes from Funk music which is southern. Funk played the same role in the AA community back then that rap plays today and has for the last 40 years.

If you want to keep it all the way real you could say early Hip Hop was basically a part of the evolution of Funk and Disco and later on Soul and Jazz. Really up until samples played out.

The real answer to the question is no or lack of industry.
stop being objective to jealous foreign trolls who believe lies.

Luda went to Oak Park-River Forest HS, a nikka I worked with went to school with him..said he was cool and left after his freshman year :ehh:

That’s like Ye claiming ATL even tho he moved to
Chi when he was 2
he also went to hs in NOVA, dude had a developed style, accent, and chicago based group members when he "debuted" in atl, and used a midwest producer...had a moon and star earring in his left ear in an early interview, with no atl speech pattern on incognegro.
:mjlol:

nikkas had poor observation skills, you can tell he's a midwest breh by the whole look and swag alone.

"It's a great loss to the game. I feel like [he had] one of the biggest voices hip-hop has ever heard," said Ross, who is currently on the road as a part of Lil Wayne's I Am Still Music tour (formerly known as the I Am Music II tour). "If you could've pulled off a Nate Dogg [feature], you was gonna hit the charts, homey, and you was gonna get love, because he just had that kind of commanding voice that everybody loved."

Ross also went on to reveal a deeper connection to the fallen icon. Even though the two were first introduced on the video set of the Ludacris and Nate Dogg collaboration "Area Codes" back in 2001, Ross and the crooner shared a connection to the small town of Clarksdale, Mississippi.

"Nate Dogg's family really originated in Mississippi, and I have family that's from that same small town," Ross said. "So I've been hearing Nate Dogg on different levels for so many years and so many years.

My grandparents from Mississippi and georgia

I've never been to Mississippi but I have cousins who have. They said I ain't missing shyt. We love yall but ain't shyt for us down there.

TBH I don't like the south too much. I love to see my people but na I don't trust the rednecks..

Y'all need to leave Mississippi and come to Detroit. It's where all your family went we even understand your accents.

Man, when I was staying in the Sip, it seemed like everyone had fam from either Chicago, Detroit, or St Louis. That’s the path that most freed slaves in that area took. It’s weird, because most in Alabama went out west and today you’ve got folks who live in Cali who say they’ve got fam in Bama and Arkansas.
