I used to rip DVDs with DVD shrink and burn the entire disc onto a DVD-R. My media player on my laptop would play the files like a regular DVD, menus and all.

But that shyt isn't that important to me anymore so now I just download BRRips with just the main feature.

A blu-ray disc has to be created, distributed, a case has to be made for it, and they gotta pay retailers to carry the movie. Digital stores don't have to deal with any of that but they want the same price, sometimes charging more for old ass movies I could for 7 bucks at Wal-Mart

They still have to pay for bandwidth/storage/Servers/license the content etc.......but yeah it still shouldn't cost as much.....
