The cultural divide between mainstream America and some black people is just.
Brehs, when you're in a place of security you can be more open.
It almost a flex, that due to money or the general safety of a neighborhood, one can keep their home open without having to worry about any safety issues.
Growing up, my grandparents lived in such a nice neighborhood, not only did the windows stay open, at night, sometimes the front door stayed open and they would regularly leave their keys in the car.
I live in a high rise condo. My windows stay open. During the day, the natural light that comes in is unparalleled. And at night, the bright city skyline adds a beautiful ambience inside.
I still live in my mom’s attic. So the only light that gets in is via the cracks in the dilapidated wood panels.
