rich people have different considerations than poor people. If my concerns weren't people seeing into my home and coveting the things I have, I'd never have curtains. If I was rich, I wouldn't give a shyt because anything I owned would be attainable by my neighbors.

Brehs, when you're in a place of security you can be more open.

It almost a flex, that due to money or the general safety of a neighborhood, one can keep their home open without having to worry about any safety issues.

Growing up, my grandparents lived in such a nice neighborhood, not only did the windows stay open, at night, sometimes the front door stayed open and they would regularly leave their keys in the car.

I live in a high rise condo. My windows stay open. During the day, the natural light that comes in is unparalleled. And at night, the bright city skyline adds a beautiful ambience inside.

I’m tempted to say it’s a white thing…I’ve mostly lived in predominantly black neighborhoods that were very decent/relatively safe and in 2 different neighborhoods it was only the white neighbors (the few we had) that would have no blinds on their windows or curtains on their windows (downstairs only) or if they did they didn’t use them…I’m in a mostly white neighborhood now…some of the neighbors do close their blinds/curtains once it gets dark but quite a few don’t
