Why don’t rich people put blinds or curtains in their windows?

I live near a wealthy neighborhood and when we are driving thru my wife and I always notice you can see right in these people houses. You can see them watching TV, eating, excercising etc.

When it’s dark my house blinds go down asap! I don’t like people seeing in and I can’t see out.

Is that a black/white thing or a rich I got no cares in the world thing?

i think it just has to do with people's nature. my living setup isn't too different from that pic but i'm introverted so it's blackout curtains, lights off, me and my gf running around with nods. god that sounds so weird now that i've typed it out and see it on my screen.

there's one exception tho...

I've wondered this for years. I think it's more of a white/black thing. I have NEVER seen any black household without blinds or curtains over the windows whereas white folks always have bare windows. they looking like fish in a fishbowl.

Lol we only have blinds on our bedroom windows, and those face the side. None of the other windows have blinds, my wife said it messes up the look from the outside. Then again I live in the country in a very expensive neighborhood.

We definitely had blinds though when we lived in the city.
