Because that's not what they believe in at all...I've always maintained that both sides have good intentions just different philosophies for the well being of all...as a conservative I feel that forcing charity through government leads to unintended consequences which worsens whatever the problem was in the first place

Taxes in itself create distortions and inefficiencies in the marketplace. The less taxes there are for all the easier it is for a society to exist with maximum affordable options in the market that will always innovate with time and create boundless opportunities for work and wealth creation

Also a guy like me believes that thing like social security and Medicare and education have much more affordable available better serviced options for everyone even the poorest of the poor in a pure free market...

And private charities and churches are best to handle those who are in poverty and perhaps a small safety net or a national charity that is optional to donate too during tax time.

I speak for myself as an example of a conservative person who does not ascribe to what you feel conservatives want...

This whole your an evil communist who wants to control the world or I'm an evil capitalist who only cares about myself is disingenuous political theater that is just part of the game but isn't true at all...like I said most people have empathy for other human beings ...just different ideas of what is prosperity for all

God Bless

the problem is that BOTH sides are fukked up.

you can't be black and NOT see that Welfare is a problem. too many people are dependent on govt checks in the hood. It's ruining our culture and creating a dependency amongst the future generations. Even tho it helps some folks, there are a bunch of people who use the money as an excuse not to work.

BUT

the answer isn't as simple as just saying "F your poor people" like the Republicans.

i wish there were more options. until then its still "The party of bad ideas" vs "the party of no ideas."

Just say we don't give a shyt about the poor. If you're broke fix your own damn life its not our responsibility to take care of your ass. If you're old and you don't have money then just die. If you don't have insurance or a job good enough to get you decent insurance that's your problem.

instead they masquerade like they care about everyone but put in place policies that favor mostly themselves.

That's an ugly truth, bruh.

but... ...I'd accept this more than the shyt they shovel at us. :manny:

The problem is we tried this and it resulted in droves of old people dying and or eating cat food and as a civilized society we decided we could do better than that. Bottom line is that there are more people in need than people who are not.

Here's a little story that JUST happened.
I head over to my friends cube a moment ago and he's a republican, he's making between 60-80k a year (re: he get's a refund at the end of the year, i.e. he pays no taxes)

We get into a conversation about...taxes. He's tired of paying so many taxes. I point out that he doesn't pay any. He get's all screw face on me like, "well they take it out of my check" i told him to up his dependents to get his money now vs at the end of the year.

I imagine most republicans biotching about taxes fall into this bracket of THINKING they are paying taxes when they are not.

You really have to hand it to republicans though, they really have people fighting against their own interests.

:what:

You're paying taxes if you dont ALL your money back. I make similar to your friend, and if you're not taking home ALL 80K you're getting taxed.

its more like 50K + another 3K in refunds.

Don't they basically say this already?

Poor/working class white people need to smarten up and stop voting against their best interest.

I agree. They may not say it verbally, but their actions show they don't give a $hit about poor/working class people in general.

after his deductions his taxable income is ZERO. He get's it all back bruh. As do a large number of people, he has children if you don't then i can see where you might be paying SOME taxes, but even then your tax bracket with a marginal amount of deductions is pretty forgiving in terms of your overall tax bill.
