the POWERS dont want live instruments to ever become the standard again because legitimate sound vibration heals the spirit........digital music is not actual soundwaves, its binary code that imitates sound vibration.

I know it sounds absurd but synthesized sounds are literally little 0s and 1s flying out of the speaker and hitting your body like tiny pieces of shattered glass. This affects us immensely on a subconscious level.

I need to take lessons, have both of my grandfather’s guitars. He was one of those oldheads born in Tennessee during the Depression so he was raised on his blues shyt.

Remember sitting on the porch with him and my grandma as a child hearing him play the guitar while she picked greens :mjcry:

It’s black musicians doing songs for non black artists

That’s why non blacks sound like they are biting black style because they actually have black musicians backing them

They marketed black people out of guitar music so they can’t do it for passion, just to get paid. They play guitar for non blacks but not them selves to pay bills

Tosin Abasi has everyone wanting to quit guita. He’s the greatest alive right now

Hip hop beats don’t incorporate guitar that’s why.

I want the guitar, keys, and sax to come back

Nah. Wyclef was doing it for a decade.
Plenty of hip hop sings that highlight guitar or bass guitar, but mostly just loops.

Have a guitar should have taken a few lessons, even though I played violun for 9 years, which makes it familiar, still a different beast. Something to aspire in the 2020s

They have an app called Yousician, which is like a digital tutor. Pretty cool.

It's not just black folks but just in general the guitar is losing popularity. It was an story about this in the washington post years ago. And its not because of hip-hop imo it's more so music software and the digitization of music. You can get around lack of musicianship these days with the help of software. And ya'll nikkas the consumer don't seem to be interested in live instrumentation anymore or not as much as your are the more compressed, synthesized, and quantized recorded music made on audio software.

Southeast DC
Vanishing music programs/departments in schools, primarily.
Nailed it. Growing up my middle school and high school was flooded with folks playing music instruments of all types because the music departments had crazy big budgets. shyt man, that's how a lot of DC GoGo bands came to be.

Now its all about the test scores and fukk everything else.:francis:
