God doesn't have a gender. That would create a dichotomy. Binary opposition. The only way for God to be male is if there were a female counterpart. But God is one.

There are many stories about the bible that bother me, like the story of Babylon and changing the tongue of the different people because they wanted to build a tower so high that it could reach the heavens.

We have the atmosphere that people would have burned in and if they could surpass that, then they would be in space and couldn't breathe, even if they had the technology to raise a structure that high. Stories like that seem to allude to the fact that these stories were written by a primitive mind to scare people and make shyt up. Seems like a bunch of scare tactics.

fukk preaching. These nikkaz tryin to make laws and govern based on magical story books. And I have convinced theists to assess their belief. Got one of my good friends to go from Jehova's Witness to deist. After years of discussion I finally got my mom reading Godless by Dan Barker and got her cutting down on church activities and working on her doctorate. The way to less superstition is more education.

When I get her to stop tithing she can take a hell of a vacation every year.
