Why does the Coli hate Xmen Apocalypse so much??

When the movie came out I didn't see this much hatred towards it. Maybe cause i was staying out the threads til I saw it. But lately I've been seeing a lot of hatred from various memebers openly voicing their dislike toward it. I thought it was rather decent. I take the Film Room's opinions very serious... but for the same view shared outside of there is mind blowing.

I just read in the thread about someone having a preference to watch Amazing Spider-Man 1 &2, Spider-Man 3, & this over Bateman vs Superman...


Is there a thread already on this? Merge it, I don't care. Talk to me about this y'all...

It was a pretty mediocre film to me. The only real positives were Quicksilver and the interaction between the young X-men.
Apocalypse was a total dud as a character.
The misuse of Psylocke, Storm and Angel was a damn shame.
Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender both looked disinterested as hell for the majority of the movie like they were only even there under threat of lawsuit.
The sets looked cheap and the CGI was shytty more often than not.

It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't great.

Jason Isaacs was extremely underutilized, Magneto basically had the same story arc as in the last two X-Men films, and their continuity is still screwed up.

I liked it, but it was far from the best X-Men film (which for me was First Class).

How is the continuity still fukked up?

Nightcrawler hanging out with Cyclops and Jean as teenagers. They've never met Angel before the events of this film. Havok is older than Scott and was an X-man before him (the other way around in the comics). lots of other stuff.
