For example, we celebrate Ertha Kitt despite the fact that she basically let some white nationalists run a train on here in APARTHEID South Africa. She went there despite the fact that the locals told her to not come to South Africa in protest of apartheid. Despite all of this, we still celebrate Ertha Kitt and we even have an Eartha Kitt day in some states. She's a very famous figure among black America. Why is this? Meanwhile a savy business person like Rube Foster (the founder of the Negro league) who supported many black businesses/families and enriched the black community at large is barely celebrated by the black American community? What explains this disparity?
