I just noticed on here when people talk musical geniuses that Ray Charles barely comes up, but Stevie wonder always seems too.

You have to really love music to go back to Ray Charles and give him his credit.

Younger generations doesn't really give him his credit unless they truly love music.

Ray Charles was seen as the true genius that ABC records gave him a record deal that was never heard of before where he can own all his masters and royalties because he was a true musical genius.

I just noticed Ray Charles doesn't get enough love amongst blacks even though he's seen as originator of r&b, soul music.

the newer generation isn't as familiar with ray because his music predates predates alot of what they hear/look for in connection to hiphop and modern r&b.It's the same reason why James Brown is more revered than Same Cooke along with Ray Charles. The generation that would take soul and funk into new heights all revered Ray Charles.
