oh and you know WHY P gets a pass too? besides the business stuff, he released some REALLY GOOD ALBUMS. if you've never given these albums a chance, do yourself a favor and LISTEN to them, before starting to talk shyt:
TRU - Tru 2 Da Game (never heard a bad word about this album...timeless shyt)
C-Murder - Life Or Death (top 3 gangsta rap album of all times in my book)
Mac - Shell Shocked
Mac - World War 3 (probably the most underrated album in No Limit's catalogue, dude was on his way to become a legend)
Master P - Ice Cream Man
Master P - Ghetto D (one of the most important down south albums ever)
Silkk - The Shocker (some of the best beats I've ever heard)
Silkk The Shocker - Charge It 2 Da Game (again unbelievable production, BBTP were going in)
C-Murder - Trapped In Crime
Fiend - There's One In Every Family
Fiend - Street Life
Soulja Slim - Give It 2 Em Raw (without this album, Slim would have disappeared from the rap game)
Soulja Slim - The Streets Made Me
Mia X - Unlady Like (you want a great female MC with a coherent dope album? get this)
Mia X - Good Girl Gone Bad
Mystikal - Unpredictable
I'm Bout It OST
I Got The Hook-Up OST (even Jay-Z hopped on the NL bandwagon)
Down South Hustlers Compilation
Westcoast Badd Boyz 2
Young Bleed - My Balls & My Word
Snoop Dogg - No Limit Top Dogg (probably one of Snoop's top 3 albums)
Snoop Dogg - Tha Last Meal
just off the top of my head...there's plenty more that many consider good-to-great albums (TRU's True, Gambino Family, Ghetto Commission, WCBB 1, Mr. Serv-On's 1st album, Kane & Abel's 2nd album...), but IMO not on the level of the above
too bad P couldn't get a deal done with UGK in 97 or 98 to release an album in cooperation with Jive (similar to Mystikal's 2 No Limit albums)
