If biracials can be black to y'all then they might as well be also white/Asian/indian then since one of the parents is non*black.

Godforbid they actually claim their other half, y'all hypocritical asses would lose your minds.

The fact is: biracials ain't black, period! Ain't no half-white person got the same DNA as me :umad:

exactly... ain't a city in america where mixed kids ain't calling themselves black... and every black person in that community agrees and tells them no different..
so you telling me regardless of that you cant tell the difference between a lightskin mixed person and dark black person? if you're dark had a kid with a dark woman and the kid came out damn near white you not gonna question or have doubts?

Your dreams
the people in put in OP are mixed,

I havent seen the Chris Rock movie so not sure the context about the son and his parents.

The cosby show like a lot of other American shows, whether they were written/directed by a black or other race person seemed to have a this thing where there is a biracial family member inexplicably thrown in there.

I saw a recent Nigerian movie where the parents and sister were black but the son was biracial....?

Thank You. If you have a white mom. You are half white. Vice versa any race.

Where did I say I couldn’t tell? Of course you can tell. But it’s also never that easy. What if it’s a mixed black man with a dark woman. When the kid comes out can you tell he has a white grandma?

It’s simple things like this why we don’t CARE to pick them out. People will know a kid has a white mom and go over and eat and still call him black. We all know mixed people who are considered black. I don’t even have to count celebs and historical figures

We all know mixed people who say they are black and not a single black person says shyt. We all know a mixed chick we date and black people and even black women do not care. Not until she full white. Any drop of black from 200 years ago and we claiming all the Latin community as Afro Latina and go ahead and let them say nikka too.

So I’ll agree with the OP. In real life, nobody even talks about this shyt. Let alone approaching any mixed people to tell them they ain’t black. I’d love to hear those stories. Who done this shyt for real?

Colourism. Simple. That’s the core reason. There’s no accident that it’s mostly female characters.

It’s made somewhat believable when you consider that black families do come in different shades. Especially when there’s 1 dark parent and 1 light/mixed parent - you can get any combination with that.

Take Blackish. From a family of 6, you would only be confident 2 of the family have 2 real life black parents and only one of them is dark skinned.
