Dude is hermit. Ive never heard of anyone ever seeing that nikka outside of a concert. He also has only released 3 albums in 25 years. He is not really looking to be the most famous RnB singer. When its all said and done dude will go down as a legend. I still play Black Messiah weekly

Avant is slept on but his catalog aint seeing no Dangelo fam. Thats blasphemy. Avant makes standard ass RnB, a Great Value R. Kelly

take a moment and look at Avant music and than look at deangelos...and make a list deangelo has the all time great songs but Avants albums would have more/better content that you can listen to longer.

:dead: I love both D and Maxwell, but these cats take whole lifetimes between releases. Other than low-output, my only gripe with D is that I wish he would sing his words more clearly. I was struggling to understand him in his last album.

Sheeeeeiiiiitttttt. D'Angelo mumbling makes it easier to sing along.

All the cheeks I done clapped off of being able to mumble harmonize to Voodoo? Breh deserves recognition for that.

And Maxwell fukked around and made a song that could get played at weddings until the end of time (Lake by the Ocean), so he'll probably get a pass if he NEVER completes the BlackSummer'sNight trilogy.

That he started in 2009. :lolbron:

He’s always highly regarded in any r&b discussion. But dude doesn’t put out tons of music, he’s not in the limelight, like there’s no reason to keep him top of mind

nikka lazy
3 albums in 20 years is nowhere near enough to put you in a GOAT conversation
Prince and Stevie hit you with classic albums every year pretty much that mfs are still in awe of
Nothing is stopping breh from hitting the studio
As far as drugs, people was on Sly's head for taking two years to come out with Fresh
George Clinton was high as giraffe p*ssy and was dropping 3 or 4 hot albums a year
nikka is lazy, scared, or both. GOATS are neither.
