Why Does AI Get A Pass For Shooting 42% Over His Career??/

AI shot 39% in his prime, spud shot damn near 48%
He took significantly fewer shots.....
The fewer shots you make the better chance you got a shooting a higher percentages.
you got better odds of making 1 of 2 than making 15 of 30.

nikka Spud Webb wasn't given 1/4th of the offensive respect of Iverson. Nobody's gameplan against the Hawks was "watch where Spud Webb is at all times." Pass the ball around, wait for Dominique and them to draw the defense and kick it out to you for an open jumper...mixed in with a couple cuts to the basket for a pass and layup, and you have your average role player. Not hard for an NBA player to shoot 45% doing that a couple times a game. Or are you imagining them running isos for Spud Webb 20 times a game and him just giving work to nikkas?

notice the term "volume scorer" is only ever used to describe inefficient chuckers who put up big scoring totals... if KD or Bron shot the ball 25 times a game, would they be volume scorers? No, because they'd still be efficient.

"he shot the ball at a 40% clip, but since he did it 25 times a game, we'll label him a volume scorer and pretend like it's a good thing"... meanwhile, if he shot the ball half that amount at the same clip, he'd just be known as an ordinary player... shyt is just a slick way of calling someone a ballhog
if Steph Curry or Kyrie shot the ball more than 25 times a game, they could put up amazing scoring totals too... is that the only thing stopping them from being "volume scorers"??
AI was flashy and was the face of the durag era lol, his legacy goes beyond his play on the court, which unfortunately leaves a lot of people who saw him play jaded

What's funny about that post is that just yesterday KD and Bron shot over 25 times and both shot a lower percentage than they typically do.
But according to him they'd still be efficiency if they shot the ball that much. A players efficiency is bound to drop to some degree the more shots they take.
AIs not even a top 10 player from his own generation.
In the past 13 years alone we've seen atleast 10 better players than AI:
Kobe
Lebron
Shaq
Duncan
Garnett
DIRK
Nash
Wade
J Kidd
Durant
Tmac
Yao Ming
etc..
Only reason AI is known is because he benefits from having a "thug" image in a time where the thug image was hot in literally every part of the media(from movies to music to video games)

He was one of my favorite players to watch, but he wasn't that good of a player. His scoring was never impressive. He just had the green light to jack up as many shots as he liked.These young dudes must have not watched prime Iverson.

AI made some impressive shots, many impressive shots if i can recall...some of it may have been his height factoring in but that shyt is still hard to do and he put numbers up...guy wasnt the best all time but he has his spot...ppl hating for no apparent reason lol
