If u wanna vent about nikkas not fukkin wit NBA just say that, all that other shyt unnecessary
You've made it abundantly clear you only like to troll in these hoops vs. football discussions. It's why you're being obtuse in here and constantly quoting me with some nonsense. I couldn't give a fukk about whether folks like the product or not, but then you already knew that.

Now, nobody is saying you have to like it, or that you can't have any grievances with it, I'm just curious why y'all continue to watch a product y'all can't say anything positive about. Why not just give it up and find something you can take actual joy out of? Take up painting or water sports. shyt, if you still need to scratch that hoops itch - dust off them old tapes when Kiki Vandeweghe was dropping 50 points in the gladiator arena when he had to use a shield and war hammer to get to the hoop.

You know how the story ends, and it's not a third act where the players hold hands and start shooting endlessly from the midrange.

It can be your New Year's resolution - no more "new NBA".
Lol nikkas be throwing rocks then hiding their hands

Goofy shyt :mjlol:

Ima go enjoy my new year, keep lookin for the answer to your gooftroop question

I’ve been watching/playing basketball since I was 10 years old and this is the only sport I’ve ever been passionate about. I can still enjoy aspects of the sport I love at the NBA level while still lamenting it’s flaws.

I'm wondering why folks keep watching something they keep on complaining about. Year after year.

Like a broad in a relationship who keeps on complaining about her mans, but ain't do shyt to get out of the relationship.

:manny:

I'm a Grizzlies fan so I basically just watch them and I accept that other teams have to exist for us to have somebody to play. But I have no feelings about the other teams or players, they just like NPCs until they on my team

Media surrounding the game just turns me off to the sport. It's my fault I expose myself to it, but at the same time, the takes regurgitated ad nauseum on morning talk shows find themselves in a lot of real life discussions. How many Mount Rushmores need to discussed? how many times can you shuffle the top 5 or top 10 players in the league?

I’ve always loved basketball and the NBA

It’s ok to admit that it’s a garbage product right now. I want it to get better.

NBA players have forgotten the entertainment aspect. It’s just not an entertaining product right now. The quality of play outside of a select few is god awful.

Entertainment is all subjective.

I’m just curious to know how you came to the conclusion the players have forgotten the entertainment aspect? Who are the select grew that aren’t “God awful” and can you reference all the periods/eras that were great, in relation?

Gil if you like the product, cool

I find it boring and repetitive with the spamming of 3 pointers and lack of defense. Most regular season games feel like a YMCA run

I enjoyed the product when it was a defensive slug fest. It looked and felt like the players played hard in the regular season.

Load management killed the soul of the game

That’s cool and all that, but a lot of folks didn’t. In fact, I’d go as far to say the majority don’t want it go back to it being a “defensive slug fest”; if it did go back to that, there’d be even more complaints. The game has only become as popular, on a global scale, because it steered away from that. Casual fans, which make up the greater majority of the NBA fanbase don’t want to watch that shyt.

Load management, to a certain degree, has actually protected the welfare of certain players, and given the breakneck speed of play and the mileage that players rack up (players need to cover more ground defensively than they’ve ever done before), it was inevitable something was going to give. The human body can only withstand so much without it breaking, and we want to see the best players on the floor and playing to the best of their capabilities, right? We don’t want them accumulating injuries and/or coasting through games to protect themselves, right?

That’s before we take into account the monetary value these players have to their respective franchises, and them needing to make sure their ‘bottom line’ doesn’t get fukked up. That’s the nature of the business, and without that growth, the game would’ve died a long time ago.

Besides all that, the game isn’t going to change anytime soon. Spamming 3s and what you perceive to be a “lack of defense” is going to remain probably at least until all your mental faculties are in working order.

The question remains - are you going to put yourself through this “God awful, boring” product for the rest of your days?
