I'm pretty sure there was a thread (maybe it was this one don't remember) where posters were openly saying they don't watch the league, yet they have the strongest opinions on the league :pachaha:
This shyt be blowing my mind. How tf do you know what's going on when you say you haven't watched a game since 2016? Those types get their opinions from social media.

You always coming with some condescending, fake smart, attention-seeking ass post

Man shut the fukk up
Right, so the 100s and 100s of posts crying about the NBA aren't attention seeking, but this one post making that observation is?

Hit dogs holla and all that.

So this dude has been taking criticism of the NBA personally for years? :dead:

Don't own 1 team.
Not a coach or player

:dead::mjlol:
That's a funny way of putting it.

I'd say it was more like cats have been in their feelings for years because the good ole days aren't coming back.

Don't own 1 team.
Not a coach or player.
But still mad.

I like basketball and the NBA is the premier basketball league. So I watch but that doesn’t mean I don’t have problems with the product. I married my wife doesn’t mean she’s perfect and we don’t have problems.

How about you be honest and admit you just don’t like that people complain about all the three pointers and style of play because they blame the warriors for the current NBA. You’re not defending the NBA because lord knows you shyt on players and coaches all the time. This crusade is simply your usual defense of Steph and the Warriors legacy.

This is a false equivalency.

You still love your wife, do you not? Otherwise, you'd get a divorce, would you not? These nxggas on here don't love the NBA. They openly hate it. That's the difference.

Being critical of players and coaches is not even remotely the same as shytting on the NBA product and longing for the past (which isn't going to return). Nobody is beyond criticism. The NBA isn't beyond criticism. I don't think that the league as it now stands is perfect. But the utmost majority of criticisms around the league are hypocritical, lack context, half-baked ass analysis or based upon straight up bullshyt.

You had active players during the 90s who said the NBA was diluted, yet according to cats on here that was the golden era.

You see my problem?

Cats are not honest with themselves.

They tell themselves a story when reality says otherwise.

They tells themselves the ratings are down, but NBA is more popular than it's ever been. That's not me defending the NBA, that's purely stating a fact about it.

They tell themselves that every team plays the same and it's boring, but the NBA has always had periods where teams played 'the same' because it reflects the trends of play at that moment in time. That's not me defending the NBA, that's purely stating a fact about it.

Why would anyone cry and complain as much as folks do on this board about something that they can easily stop watching?

It's patently ridiculous to think this "crusade" of mine is based on Steph/Warriors. It tells me that you're projecting, and that you haven't done anything to resolve it @gtj1982.

Every single era of basketball should be taken as it is, not manipulated into something that is based upon your childhood sensibilities. Cats on here don't know how to be objective about this era because they hold the past too close to their hearts. I'm a 90s baby, but that doesn't mean I should look at that time period with rose-colored glasses, ignoring the bad about it, and shytting on every era to prop it up.

The better question would be - when are folks just going to be honest and admit they shyt on today's NBA to protect the legacies of players and teams of the past?

The funny thing about the critiques around 3-pt shooting is -

I remember on the old board (and eventually on here) when players like Brandon Jennings got dragged for being a cheap imitation of A.I.

Y'all muh'fukkas don't really want the past to come back, because y'all would still shyt on today's players for not being as good as their counterparts from yesteryear. You'd complain about how the league hasn't progressed because it has counterfeit players who're worse versions of players y'all grew up watching.

Someone like DeRozan is a throwback player, keeping that element of the game alive that y'all swear y'all love, but nobody on this board heralds his game. Nobody talks about how he's keeping the midrange game alive. Nobody even posts about him. None of y'all are talking about how he's one of the last real ones left.

DeRozan not fun to y'all? DeRozan not entertaining to y'all? A midrange savant amongst a sea of 3-pt shooters isn't y'all savior?

It tells me it doesn't really have anything to do with 3-pt shooting. It just tells me that the league could be anything today, and y'all would still find fault in how it doesn't compare to the past.

The fact you think that correlates is sad. :dead:

People have every right to crictize a production presented to them.

You have no right whatso fukking ever to be a bytch and get mad at the criticism. Because YOU DO NOT RUN THE NBA, ARE/BEEN A PLAYER/COACH. :dead:
