Why do women think they'll get too "bulky" if they start lifting?

Lol...I've noticed that whenever I work out with guy friends or my boyfriend, they always try to change my routine to what they want me to do (after I've spent a lot of time researching and figuring out what I need to do to look the way I want).

I just ignore it now, and tell them to go do their thing and I do mine.

Recently, a girl that I graduated high school with created a Facebook fitness group after she dropped more than 100 pounds. She invited all types of women into the group from my one high school friend who participates in fitness/body building competitions to women who haven't quite found the motivation to get off the couch.

When we work out, we post a proof pic, sometimes we post photos of our meals, and etc. Then we give each other feedback and encouragement when someone has a setback. One woman kept posting naked smoothies as her breakfast. Me and group owner gave her advice to watch out for the sugars and maybe add a protein boost to balance out the macros. She was appreciative and we were spreading fitness knowledge (which a lot of people just don't have until someone tells them).

Although not everyone is fit, it's by far the best fitness community for which I have been a member. Knowing that less fit women are looking up to me is enough to keep me consistent (so that they will stay consistent too).
They probably know your routine bogus lol. There is only one way anyway that works best. Its hard work mainly with heavy weights for each individual person and mix some cardio into it. Every chick that does that not what 90% of them do lift stupid 5lb weights and only do lower body exercise will have you looking right in no time guaranteed.

And there's no convincing some women that lifting is one of the best ways to lose fat (with proper dieting).

They just stuck in their ways and getting subpar results and wondering why smh :heh:

They can only make that assessment if they've actually seen my routine or work out with me regularly. You can't walk in a gym and start telling someone what to do when you don't even know their plans and what they regularly do. You can't randomly go to the gym with someone you don't normally work out with and start telling them to switch up a routine that IS working for them.

My routine includes all of the standard lifts (squats, deadlift, bench press, pull ups and etc) with heavy weights. I squat with a 45 plate on each side and can leg press almost three plates on each side. My deadlifts are typically 35 on each side plus the bar of course. My bench press numbers aren't impressive but I'm working my way up. I have already said earlier in the thread and what you just bolded clearly says a routine that took a lot of research to figure out.

I lift so go somewhere else with your bogus ass assumptions. You're not amusing.

No YOU are stupid and you clearly can't read because I've already told your dumbass what happens. We get to the gym and they want to dictate what I do for the day at the gym as if I don't already have my own routine.

I probably look better than you and your girl (if you even have one) so my results are grrrrreat!

I was telling one of my female friends she needed to stop working out with her boyfriends. I don't think ALL women do this (applies to men to a degree), but she was definitely working out to fit the ideal image of whoever she was dating instead of for herself - to build her own confidence, self-value,etc.

Getting a workout partner or group is legit.
Do u lift bro? U know testosterone is the main building block of muscle mass right :childplease:

coli guy: women are so fat. They don't work out. They should get off their lazy fat asses.

*see a woman working out and doing some cardio... maybe even other things*

coli guy: why do women like cardio so much. They are so fat and lazy. That is why they only do cardio because they just want to be fat and lazy.

:eyeroll:

This is why women who are trying to get fit should not look to men for motivation because they seem to think that name calling (ignorant, stupid, lazy) will actually motivate anyone.

Ladies, if you are serious about getting in shape, please look to other women who are fit (or trying to get fit) and create your own support groups. I've found that women go out of their way to support and motivate with positivity.
i feel you. at the end of the day, for some people it's ignorance. for some it's laziness. i agree that shaming them isn't the best way necessarily.

but the myth that lifting will make you look like a man is very prevalent amongst many females. it is a myth that needs to be debunked and then they can decide what they want to do. the main thing is for people to be educated. Not knowing doesn't make someone stupid though. i put that shyt in the same category as "spot reduction" as far as fitness myths.

but i definitely agree that doing both lifting and cardio are both beneficial. as long as people have the will to at least be active, it's a good first step. after that it's all about education on how to reach personal goals.

Okay stupid...your post are always the same. Come into a thread making assumptions and/or trying to throw shade, get called out, and start calling people stupid when your posts really show who the stupid one really is. You have always been a loser and are still a loser, idiot. Now keep quoting me like you always do and I keep show people are stupid and pressed you are.
