Why do women think they'll get too "bulky" if they start lifting?

Blame feminism these bytches really think they have a remnant of testosterone to get buff. Just cause these new age feminists act manly dont mean they got testosterone to get buff.
:dahell:
coli guy: women are so fat. They don't work out. They should get off their lazy fat asses.

*see a woman working out and doing some cardio... maybe even other things*

coli guy: why do women like cardio so much. They are so fat and lazy. That is why they only do cardio because they just want to be fat and lazy.

:eyeroll:

This is why women who are trying to get fit should not look to men for motivation because they seem to think that name calling (ignorant, stupid, lazy) will actually motivate anyone.

Ladies, if you are serious about getting in shape, please look to other women who are fit (or trying to get fit) and create your own support groups. I've found that women go out of their way to support and motivate with positivity.
I was telling one of my female friends she needed to stop working out with her boyfriends. I don't think ALL women do this (applies to men to a degree), but she was definitely working out to fit the ideal image of whoever she was dating instead of for herself - to build her own confidence, self-value,etc.

Getting a workout partner or group is legit.

It's not just women. I had a friend who would say that dumb shyt. One of the reasons Im glad a played football in high school. I actually learned how to workout and there's no way you're getting big and buff just by lifting weights. You won't even bulk much if your not heavy on at least protein shakes or creatine or some shyt. Unless you're just naturally swole of course.

Personally I keep my upper body workouts to a minimum. I focus more on my lower body because that's where I want to see the most change. It works for me :yeshrug:

That's just an excuse not to workout, a lot of them are lazy as fukk, they say they don't want to get bulky but they also wont go running or do any kind of aerobic exercise.

or majority don't even go swimming... because of their hair excuse

Lol...I've noticed that whenever I work out with guy friends or my boyfriend, they always try to change my routine to what they want me to do (after I've spent a lot of time researching and figuring out what I need to do to look the way I want).

I just ignore it now, and tell them to go do their thing and I do mine.

Recently, a girl that I graduated high school with created a Facebook fitness group after she dropped more than 100 pounds. She invited all types of women into the group from my one high school friend who participates in fitness/body building competitions to women who haven't quite found the motivation to get off the couch.

When we work out, we post a proof pic, sometimes we post photos of our meals, and etc. Then we give each other feedback and encouragement when someone has a setback. One woman kept posting naked smoothies as her breakfast. Me and group owner gave her advice to watch out for the sugars and maybe add a protein boost to balance out the macros. She was appreciative and we were spreading fitness knowledge (which a lot of people just don't have until someone tells them).

Although not everyone is fit, it's by far the best fitness community for which I have been a member. Knowing that less fit women are looking up to me is enough to keep me consistent (so that they will stay consistent too).

Naw. That's real. Black hair and frequent swimming don't mix.

Unless you're in a freshwater lake or something.

EXACTLY. I am naturals and as much as I would love to swim frequently, chlorine and natural black hair don't mix.

When my friend took swimming lessons a year or two ago, she had to go through an elaborate routine to prevent chlorine damage to her beautiful natural hair. This is an example of a hair routine pre and post swimming to prevent breakage:

As for that preparation I spoke of:

• Saturate your hair - sounds silly right? Why do I need to wet my hair BEFORE I get in the water? Quick answer – wet hair will soak up less chlorine (or sea salt) than dry hair will.

• Apply coconut oil (unrefined is best) prior to getting in the water (preferably the night before). Hair will absorb the coconut oil strengthening the hair shaft thus providing extra protection against the chlorine. Is there anything coconut oil can’t do?

• Coat hair with conditioner - this will seal the cuticle and help create a barrier between your strands and the chlorine. *some choose to forego this tip because fellow swimmers may end up wearing it and tasting it!

• Do not leave your hair out - one big braid or a bun will keep hair from becoming matted or tangled.

• Wear a swim cap – it may not be sexy and you can certainly skip it, however, the more barrier between your hair and the chlorine the better.

Post Swim:

• Rinse with water then shampoo – there are several swimmers shampoos out there.
Try Ions Swimmer Shampoo (100% vegan and sulfate free) or Triswim Shampoo (paraben free)

• Condition as normal (deep condition if you feel it’s necessary)

Here's one of many videos about how to protect your natural hair while swimming:
