strike crippling terror and panic into ones soul upon site?

i just walked into my garage (had to return redbox flicks before 9 ) and on the wall a huge what looked to be wolf spider is just sitting there chillin giving me the he stared me down brehs.
no way i'm going near it after my last experience with one (they jump) and no ones here to kill it for me. straight terror as i sprinted into the house. how does something that small elicit such unreasonable fear in something much bigger than it.

spiders aint got shyt on roaches..ill move out in the middle of my lease if i see too many roaches. after i see one i get all paranoid and itchy thinking another one is lurking somewhere
