When I was a kid, we walked to the backyard of this neighbor's house. They were gone on vacation. Anyway, there was a beehive and someone did something to alert the bees. We all run away. I was a sprinter as a kid. I could book. I was the first one the farthest away and I looked back. The friend who I was visiting got stung. He was in the back of the pack and, to keep it real... he would not have made tryouts for the 100 meter, in life... ever.
I'm in my backyard last year and I see this huge web and a huge spider. Really huge, like two inch body, legs were three inches long. I get a garden tool and kill it. It's guts were splattered on the house. Really messy. Turned out to be a harmless garden spider. They do well to eat ants and insects around the house and do not bite humans. Unfortunately, it gave me the hee-bee-gee-bees and I got rid of it with prejudice.
Even going to a pet store, a tarantula in an aquarium gives me goose bumps and fear.
