Of course. That's how the game goes Jeezy had the world on smash during his run but Jigga was still going off on those remixes :wow:

Too lazy to watch the IG clip but in 2005 Jeezy was one of the hottest rappers in the game and Jay was retired, I could see Jeezy being more popular in the south during that time period.

Well around that time Jeezy was on fire Jay was the president at Def Jam. But he just came off The Black Album.

Right. This a insecure ass thread. Back then alot of different rappers had their run at the top. Its not that big a deal to say Jeezy was hotter than Jay at one point because we all was there to see it.

jeezy was more relevant that is why jay z got on songs with him. Jeezy legit had schools banning his merch all over the country.

New York used to set the trends but nowadays you don't know if they wanna be from Chicago or from ATL...

The South definitely won.

I think what also helped the Souf was the fact that they:

1.Stuck together and was willing to give each other a helping hand unlike NYC.

2. Their producers didn't just depend on sampling. Southern nikkas knew to incorporate live instrumentation in their stuff. Lord Jamar said that he incorporated some Pimp C production techniques for their 1994 album "Everything is Everything.

Plus the South introduced strippers and Strip Club Culture to a legion of gameless simps and video hoes became just as popular as rappers themselves.

So does the West. You'd be hard pressed to find a NY nig just hatin on the South or Cali like you see them just blindly hating on NY. Rap was cool when NY had it in a smash totally, you know that...everybody is damn near mentally feeble since ATL took it...no offense.
