Why do so many rappers false claim Atlanta?

I mean think about it, The Migos are from Gwinnett county miles north of Atlanta, Usher is from Tennessee and Jeezy is from Macon yet we all think Atlanta when we hear those names. Why is that why do people false claim ATL so much lmao

yep, born in raised in Alabama then moved to Atlanta in his teen years so depending on perspective I guess he can claim it. Never heard him rap about Alabama though.

Nobody is false claiming. You just don't understand the geography of Atlanta

When i say I'm out of town and I say I'm from Atlanta I'm not necessarily referring to the city, I'm referring to the metro Atlanta area: Atlanta metropolitan area - Wikipedia

Metro Atlanta encompasses surrounding suburbs and counties. If I say I'm from Atlanta when I'm at home, they gone call me out cuz I ain't from the city.

Most people aint from the city of Atlanta proper. I'm from Decatur, 2 Chainz from College Park, Outkast from East Point etc etc.
Usher claims Atlanta because he began his career here, Jeezy does because he started his career here, same for Luda and any other transplant.

Jeezy never claimed ATL, he was just there all the time and never loudly claimed Macon

It's almost like how everybody thinks UGK was from Houston even tho they never claimed it but interacted with Houston so much
