Right, Gucci and Luda don’t count. People can be picky and say Luda from College Park, but Gucci really from East AtlantaLuda moved to the A at 8 years old from Chicago I believe. Don't qualify as false claiming IMO
Why do so many rappers false claim Atlanta?

If we being honest, yeah rappers say Atlanta, but the only rappers who live outside the city who don’t actually shout out where they from (if they tell you what city they actually from it’s not being dishonest… that’s like being from Compton and shouting out Los Angeles) is the Migos. Rappers from Decatur be proud to rep that shyt because Decatur been put on for a long time. (21 Savage/ Gucci from Atlanta and Decatur/ a bunch of others…Even Robin Thicke said it in Blurred lines lol. Too many rappers from Decatur. Outkast always shouted out EastPoint. Andre really from Atlanta (Bowen Homes) .. Big Boi made songs mentioning he from savannah. College park nikkas can say south side or whatever like everybody else say eastiside or whatever , but 2chainss / Luda or whomever proudly say college park. So this point not really valid. Even nikkas really from inside the city like Future shouted out Kirkwood plenty times. Like all other places, everybody shout out they neighborhoods and cities. Shouting out the main city is just acknowledging the movement overall when you competing against all the other major music scenes in the rest of the US. Nobody claims Gwinnett County, so Migos just say Noooorth… that just sounds dumb. We don’t consider that AtlantaJust a bunch of Mexicans out there.. That’s not close to the city lol… Lil Baby, Thug, Future and the other rappers we know really from inside the city or they just be not from Atlanta area in no way at all

I used to live downtown in the city of Atlanta. Its small. 90% of nikkas arent in the city...they somewhere around 2-85/85...which is still about a 30 minute drive depending on traffic.
If you inside the perimeter.... you Atlanta....If I gotta jump on I-20 to visit you, you not in Atlanta.

It's almost like how everybody thinks UGK was from Houston even tho they never claimed it but interacted with Houston so much
Jeezy actually grew up in Hawkinsville, GA and then moved to Macon later on.
Gucci Mane left Bessemer, AL at 9 years old then went to East Atlanta.
Usher from Chat Town in Tennessee. Idk why people think he’s from ATL.
Lil Bow Wow is from Columbus and always claims it but people still think he’s ATL
Andre 3000 from East Point, GA and Big Boi from Savannah
UGK always claimed Port Arthur, Texas.
LA is deferent because Compton, Long Beach, and Inglewood are not in LA city limits but the county is the same name as the city. So technically all of the surrounding LA cities is in fact Los Angeles.

I think that’s just how ATL’ers might see it because Marta definitely goes outside of the perimeter and the city Iimits of Atlanta go further than the 285 perimeter

I never said that UGK didn't claim PA, but plenty(I'd say most) of people still associate UGK with Houston
