Why do rich people complain about paying more taxes when they control most of the money???

on a local level.. to hire more police, build or repair schools/roads.

Depends where though. Most affluent towns pay high taxes already. And everyone knows most administrations are over staffed to begin with.

Because they feel they worked hard to get theirs, so why can't the rest you people do the same thing? The feel why should they have to give up more of their earning to help the rest of the lazy Americans.

In short many of them are just greedy. Funny enough I've heard many celebs/famous people don't mind paying more taxes.....it's these regular rich people who inherited family wealth or who have supreme paying jobs b/c they knew someone in power that seem to have the problem.

What are you talking about. Inheritance and trusts has nothing to do with this.

The problem is
1)income gets taxed and
2)corporate profits & revenue well...

This is why I laugh when idiots talk about creating a class warfare and other nonsense. Its not about rich and po'.

Sound Reasoning
250,000 is rich? I always disagreed with that.

Heck I've heard people say those who make 100 K are rich

I get what you're saying. But when you look at the median income and compare, someone making 250k is not the standard. Nor are they even close to the standard.

So, if someone is in the top 1%-5% in terms of income in comparison to the general population, how could they not be considered rich? Especially if we're talking a single person and not a married couple. Even a married couple would still fall outside the norm for median household income at 250k.

It's class warfare. The very rich have the money, power, and influence and see tax increases as an attempt to stop them from making money, and as such, an attack on their power.

it is rich.

Think about that.....lets say a husband and wife each make $125,000/year....you wouldnt consider that to be rich?

If you have 2 people in your household making 6 figures, you're rich IMO. Hell alot of times, if a husband is making 6 figs, the wife will stay home and raise the kids b/c they can afford it
