Zay touched on it, but it's generally personal in California too. Most Bloods and Crips have friends and family from a rival area, it's only like 1 outta 10 that are super banged out, don't fukk with rivals, etc...

There's always gonna be misperception from outsiders on the functionality of California gangs. 99% of gangs aren't claiming entire neighborhoods, they turf is only a few blocks before you get to the next area...

Grand Concourse from 149th to like 165th has the Bronx Walk of Fame, Bronx Museum, Andrew Freedman Home, Cardinal Hayes, Zona de Cuba restaurant, Hostos Community College, condominiums and co-ops.

It’s a 3 lane street with lots of small businesses and medical practices and shyt. It starts getting a lil more “hood” from 167th up to Bedford Park…dudes selling drugs out in the open and shyt, 175th especially full of fiends.

The real “trenches” would be the residential streets around it. On the Concourse I’d worry more about getting run over than a nikka robbing me.

Ditto, for Harlem, lol at posting people walking up Malcolm X Boulevard like that’s supposed to be the hood. Go to Polo Grounds or Wagner or something.

Naw NYC just got cleaned up in the 2000s
LA been looking like #goals for decades. Somebody could blind fold you and drop you off in a hood then take the blind fold off and you wouldn't know if you were in Watts, South Central, Koreatown, SilverLake or Venice from that block alone
I never been in a neighborhood in LA that looked dangerous purely off visuals

Baltimore and Philly gotta be the roughest looking places in the US. New Orleans and East St. Louis up there too.

Philly is a beautiful city.

Those narrow blocks with old red brick row houses are an eye sore but that’s not the whole city and at least from what I saw in pockets of South Philly they’re fixing those up and they look real nice.

Philly is nowhere near the worst.

The worst is Jackson, Mississippi. Outside of downtown the place can hardly even be considered a city. It’s super run down, blighted and rural with the highest murder rate in the poorest state.
