Why do people hate on anime

I watch/love anime but I’m not an anime fan if that makes sense.

I enjoy it like any other type of entertainment but only the good shyt that I’ve researched first. I don’t just be watching random anime and shyt.

there’s way too many pedo and weird innuendos in a lot of shows. Also the fans can turn people off.

People associate cartoons as childish. FMA: Brotherhood for example deals with religion, philosophy, military complex, the human condition, etc but some assume it's childish because it's in animated format.

Cause people believe this dumbass shyt. Its drawn and animated and not live action so its for children. But be the same ones watching sports, wrestling, and any other form of entertainment that children also participate in. So basically all adults can do is work for a living to not be considered childlike.

I find it weird, wack & childish...I'm a grown man (26yrs) now and I no longer desire anime/cartoons/animated etc to be a part of my entertainment...why? Because I'm not a kid anymore.

Shyt I barely remember any of those Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, etc animated cartoon characters/movies unless someone else mentions it because it's been over 11yrs since I've even watched a cartoon.

Ppl older than me in their 30s, 40s, 50s, etc still get all giddyish (more than the actual targeted audience) for cartoons and the latest Disney movies is just laughable to me. Tells me how mentally they've haven't grown up yet...no hate but...

They're in the same group as those grown adults who get overly excited/kiddish for Star Wars, Marvel movies, etc. Imagine being in your late 30 & up getting horny over Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh cards etc.

So what is considered adult entertainment?

For me personally MY adult entertainment is reading (literature) books, listening to music (preferably Jazz, Soul, Instrumentals) and when I watch TV (sometimes I don't even watch TV at all) most of time it's nothing but the news & when it's not that it'll be something along the lines of law enforcement settings like NCIS, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, etc. Sports included.

Nope, all of the stuff I watched as a kid I've left that all behind.

Not gonna lie I was guilty of it too but I after watching a few anime shows since being stuck inside (coronavirus) I've realized that anime ain't that bad . Anime gets a bad rep because people automatically associate it with porn and or kids shows such as naruto, one peace etc.
Some of my favorites so far: Code geass, full metal alchemist, cowboy bebop, phantom requiem for the phantom.
Not I tried watching the anime that most people like and fell asleep

Breh...I can guarantee you if you actually watch Naruto and most especially One Piece (the 4Kids American dub was an absolute disgrace, I’m talking about the original Japanese version; not to sound like a weeabo), you would NOT be calling those two animes as “kid shows”.
