Why do Muslims feel the need to respond violently to everything which "offends" Islam

This is a more interesting challenge than the one posed by this deluded Polytheist.

I never said that God "needed" anything, and God's plan is individual from God. God's plan is not omnipotent, however it is in his omnipotence that he has the foreknowledge to fulfill such a plan. Therefore a true final revelation from God would not ignore human nature or circumstance. Your question is that if God is truly perfect, why wouldn't he just instantly press a button and get people to his straight path. This is a question that I don't have an answer to, but it seems to be linked with the idea of "Free-Will", as it is mentioned in various religious texts. But the overall question of "why?" I don't know or claim to know.

Islam is not a religion of peace... peace can be unjust or as a result of injustice, and conversely Islam is not a religion of war... I don't know who made this claim, and trying to talk about Muslims actions with regards to Islam is the shallowest level of discussion... I thought we we're talking about theology?

This is certainly an L for you my friend because you have changed the subject at least 15 times, hopefully this makes you evaluate your faith and really study your holy books.

only one who was schooled was you :umad:
Clearly you have no idea about Christianity but you have chosen to go with Islam which is a false religion with a false doctrine.

You try to use quotes from one book of John to justify your arguments and disregard his other books. Which tells me you had no idea about who wrote what in the Bible :dead:

Sahih Bukhari 4:52:50 "The Prophet said, 'A single endeavor of fighting in Allah's Cause is better than the world and whatever is in it.'"

Sahih Bukhari 4:52:63 "A man came to the Prophet and said, 'Shall I Fight or embrace Islam first?' The Prophet said, 'Embrace Islam and then fight.' He became a Muslim and was died syahid. The Prophet said, 'A little work, but a great reward."

I'm still in shock when I read quotes in Quran and the Hadith about Jihad.

How can this be from God?:what:

i think it's bc the quran and hadiths describe violence in great detail. Pretty much every time somebody is killed in the christian bible he is simply "smitten" or smited or whatever it says, or struck down, etc. in the quran peoples deaths and punishments are described in detail talking about limbs being smashed, cut off, head being cut off etc.

I disagree with my muslim coli brothers on this issue, I welcome and enjoy the alternative reaction of the ummah, it shows sincerity and faith in it's true form, something completely alien to atheist sodomites. They can't possibly understand why we simply refuse to be mocked and ridiculed and the day we accept such blasphemy is the day we open the gates for the kaffirs to water down our religion.

Why do you always follow the word "atheist" with "sodomite"? Can someone be an atheist and not be a sodomite?

Thanks for your contribution friend.

When talking about the NT, which is a great book, we have to always ask, WHO IS SPEAKING, and more importantly, WHO IS THE AUTHOR.

1. Who is speaking here? This is apparently the disciple John.

2. The author is John.

IF we've established that Jesus, nor the Father said this (according to the sources), what does this have to do with the reality, if a non-prophet said it? This is not a narration from Jesus himself, which is the premise of my arguments. What is the validity of this interpretation from John as to the true nature of divinity? It's literally just the supposed words of a man... I give more validity to the supposed words of Jesus because at least then it is not commentary, but diction.

That's fair, but that's where the faith comes in. We as Christians feel the pens of the Apostles are divinely inspired or are direct stories from Christ as told by the Disciples. Many times Jesus has said that his father is THE father, and yet he and his father are the same.

With all religions there is a suspension of Logic and that is where the Faith begins.

As far as the original topic, Muslims actually respond rather peacefully to most things, but a street full of Muslims protesting a death or politics is scary to the White American status quo and thus looked at as violent. American culture and even Christian culture in its history is just as if not more violent than the spread of Islam. However, it IS culturally ingrained into Muslims to defend their faith, but to say they respond to everything violently is a GROSS misrepresentation and an ignorant assumption.

And I live in the highest concentrated area of Arab/Muslims this side of the world and not ONE bomb has exploded here.

Why can't we all agree that religion is fukking stupid?

You all are quoting from a 2000 year old book written by humans, NOT GOD, NOT JESUS, HUMANS!

Humans no different from the ones around today.

If someone from TODAY wrote a bible claiming to have heard the words of God what would all of you think? :beli:

But there are still countries with a majority Christian population. Most Christian nations are very tolerant.

Saudi Arabia don't even allow Christians to build churches.

The idea that Allah could not punish an infidel who made fun of the prophet Muhammad by himself but somehow needs the assistance of barbarians is very troubling.

I can't call it stupid...the universe is so vast and yet is so orderly i don't think any of this is just some big mistake or reaction. There are many people who "claim" to have heard the voice of God, but they have no works to back it up. And yet there are some truly benevolent people who i think have had touches of Grace....

God didn't stop speaking to us...we just have more distractions now. The agnostic and even the atheist point of view MAKES SENSE but arguing against FAITH which isn't based in hard fact is pointless. Even science has its limits...faith is something that does not.

Jesus was no prophet he is God.

He says in the Bible before Abraham he was there.
I'm sure Muhammad missed that part.

Qur'an burning or Muhammad drawings provoke such violent reactions across the Islamic world.

For a religion which calls itself a "religion of peace" that is very uncalled for.

I see Atheists shytting on Christians all the time and I don't see a violent backlash.

God can't die, which is what happened to Jesus 2000 years ago. So where's god nowadays? Who and where was god prior to Jesus?

A lot of muslims say Islam means submit but it really means peace, because God is Islam and God is not the author of confusion but peace(1 Cor 14:33). Peace is the absence of confusion. Besides Islam has been around as long as god has(sura 30:30), which is MUCH longer than the existence of a muslim(one who submits). Now I know in the verse it says religion but religion came trillions of years after god, so don't take the wording on face value. "But most people know not"(30:30)

If Islam meant 'to submit to god's will' and cause confusion he would have first told the prophet to believe. Instead he told him to read(sura 96)

To answer the OPs question. This is what happens when people deal in religion unfortunately but you have these people in pretty much every religion although the media likes to only focus on the religion of Islam.

Not bashing anyone's belief but this notion of muslims only dealing in Islam and christians only dealing in christianity, and jews only dealing in judaism is a problem. People are only getting a portion of god's wisdom instead of trading ideas with each other and using good judgement to take the best parts of each religion for themselves and respect the others belief.

Gotta get back to the basics. The foundation to which everything is based on(The universe didn't pop outta nowhere)

Knowledge = 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96 sura

Read and research. Lets stop believing and make ourselves slaves to something we've never seen.

See the sig.

See the sig.

Jesus has risen.

TRINITY.

God the son came to earth to perform his duties.

Like I told the other poster, unless you understand the concept of Trinity you will be making these rookie mistakes.

The Jihad endorsement in the Hadith and Qu'ran is more evident those books are not from God.

God forbid but if there is another terrorist attack and I learn Islam is involved, I won't be surprised just like I wasn't when I found those 2 Boston bombers were Muslims.

I was shocked when I saw the pics of 2 white bombers but the shock disappeared once I found they were Muslims.
