@Booksnrain lived in Japan before (correct me if I’m wrong) so she can tell y’all this
Yeah when I was over there it was great and a good black male friend of mine is married over there to a Japanese chick. I never encountered racism. Just curiosity. There are actually Japanese actively supporting reparations for AAs in America if I’m not mistaken.

That having been said, there are racists everywhere and a lot of other ethnic groups can be eager to let the devils use them, like Asians with that affirmative action shyt. But otherwise, it was great when I lived there.
As for dreadlocks, our culture is huge there. There were clubs you can only get into if you are black and have locs/natural hair. :pachaha:

What did I say?

Seems like we should ask a Black person that had to grow up there. Even if they lived there for an extensive period of time, they didn't put down any roots or rock the boat at all, of course you had an easier time when you didn't buy land, engage in politics, put your kids through school, etc.

Are you even reading me what you're quoting me on???

You literally said let's ask Black people that had to grow up there, and I told you of two different people that grew up there that have already told me what it's like growing up as a Blasian.

Edit: removed the video, because Wojak saw it, and that's all that was needed here

You're making the claim that Japanese society is not racist based on your personal experience from work and speaking to your friend

Nikka, that is NOT what I said.

I said the Japanese do not treat you different than any other non-Japanese person. I LITERALLY said if you experience racism in Japan, it's because you're not Japanese. Read nikka:

I've said this before-- racism in Japan is NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK.

It is because YOU ARE NOT JAPANESE.

:martin:

I am explicitly stating that you may experience racism there. The point is that IF YOU DO, it will not be because you are a Black person, but that you are simply not Japanese.

In America (and other Western places), Black people get treated worse than other minority groups. In Japan, you just get treated like any other gaijin-- the question I was answering was about Japanese people hating us specifically.

Damn, learn how to comprehend what someone is saying to you breh. You fukking up a good thread.

that's not true.

in elite / fashionista corners of society they worship "white".

hence why their penchant for western fashions with white models, white actors peddling all sorts of wares, the eye-fold operations ..

"white" or being pale is prized in their society as well so aesthetically and culturally they have a preference for pale skin.

just like most everywhere there is a totem pole hierarchy and the same stereotypes reign.

for the brehs that they like they assume the same old, same old .. sportsman, rapper, actor, funny, army etc.

white people on the other hand in their mindset can be all of those things OR could be businessmen, academics, scientists etc.

during my time there i lost count of the number of times people assumed i was one of the former set. jrehs never ONCE (in 6 months) assumed that I was there for business or academic reasons.

Here, made this specifically you, breh, click play:
There was more to this conversation, but you get the point.
My current best friend is half Black half Japanese, military brat born in Yokosuka. Met him in college. I occasionally stream with him, so if you follow my streams, you'll hear him.

Both of them contrasted the type of sentiments they received in Japan and the kind they see here in the United States. My boy didn't stay in Japan as long as she did, being a military brat and all, but he was there long enough to see how they treat Blasians.

You can't gauge a systemic problem with anecdotal evidence, you run a youtube channel about this, so your ego is all tied up in it.✌🏿

You posting things completely out of context, especially that debunked jazz about them wanting to be White that White supremacists say about Asian countries and even funnier, anime.

:bryan:

Dog, Japanese people have been skin lightening since before White people came to the Island and they had no concept of what a White person was.

-Fact: the first Europeans to visit Japan (the Portuguese) did so in the 1500s.

-Fact: The practice of using makeup to make one's skin white is famously demonstrated in Geisha. Geisha ties its origins to the Heian period, which is where the current beauty standard comes from. This era began in the 8th century

- Fact: The Asian preference for lighter skin is literally due to NOBILITY; the peasants worked outside, therefore had darker skin. This is an image of a Japanese woman from the 1700s

1280px-Ase_o_fuku_onna2.jpg

-Fact: White people are not the only humans with double eyelids

Y'all got the right one today.

Just making shyt up. My channel is about film dog :mjlol:

Lmao breh, my homie grew up in Japan, and he literally said that with his own mouth on video and you still on some dumb shyt. Lol!

So just so we're keeping score, I've :

- posted evidence of me interacting with Japanese people on multiple occasions IN THEIR COUNTRY
- posted evidence of me being in multiple places in the country, at least 300 miles apart
- posted a video of my friend that grew up there saying these things with his own mouth ON CAMERA

and you

- posted nothing.

Brehs in this thread, have no fear of traveling to Japan. Some of us have actually touched (Japanese) grass :mjlol:

i never said "because" of white people but it nonetheless remains their preference.

I lived in Tokyo breh and saw it all with my own eyes.

You called for evidence.

Naija man running management and security at strip clubs.

Illegal brehs hanging outside of macdonalds in roppongi as an unofficial place to meet people.

English TV dominated by cnn, BBC world

TV sport dominated by sumo, baseball ...

the toilets ... especially in clubs are not for the shy

many a western girl working over there as *ahem* exotic entertainment of one sort or another

akihabara - amazing electronic goods market

shibuya - higher class area to go out / shopping . place of the 7/9 roads intersecting.

the busses with tiny seats

taxi drivers with the gloves

chopsticks default at most restaurants .. knife and fork available in some on request

kanji, katakana, hiirogana, romaji . first kanji to learn are things like up , elevator (which looks like up)

japanese language structure single consonant + verb for most sounds .. single letter sounds like 'n' .. important particles like 'no' (belonging/relation), some three letter sounds - shi, tsu .. which is why to our ears japanese sounds choppy. also explains japanese company names mi-tsu-bu-shi , ho-n-da, to-yo-ta etc ...

they katakana - ise our words .. so mcdonalds becomes mc-do-no-ra-l-do-s i.e. choppy.

I am in the US now (from the UK/DE) else I would go digging in my basement .

I'm gonna prove the US isn't racist by going to downtown portland and speaking to my mixed friend who grew up on the base, it's great for my youtube channel.

Your videos aren't the trump card you think it is, you can't drown out my point by posting more anecdotal bullshyt. Also, if people want to go to Japan they should, just don't pedal your experience as a reason why an entire fukking country isn't racist. Asians love that fake 'oh we're just a little xenophobic, it's not racism' shyt.

But there's a subsection of Japanese women that EXCLUSIVELY fukk with brehs :sas2:

yeah and those women are mostly degenerates who view brehs as stereotypes based on what they see on TV .. or see in clubs ..

and it ain't really "brehs" they are after .. it is mostly americans because they think those american stereotypes are attractive .

so nuff brehs from elsewhere go around pretending they are american and most of the japanese girls can't tell the difference.

not in tokyo ... or name the clubs / nights ..

people wearing locks is niche and seldom seen when out and about in tokyo.
I was in Osaka, Kobe and southern Japan. I visited Tokyo but that’s not where i lived. Definitely can’t remember the clubs but they were dedicated to all things hip hop/reggae.

ok makes sense. those styles are niche from what i saw.

Japan is quite conservative from what I experience and the "salary-man" ideal dominates.

"white" or being pale is prized in their society as well so aesthetically and culturally they have a preference for pale skin.

In its context (because you were replying to me stating you won't be treated differently than White foreigners as a Black foreigner), this is you attempting to refute what I said.

Regardless if Japanese prefer themselves to be lighter skinned, that has ZERO to do with their treatment of us in that country. Again: the treatment you receive in Japan is based on you not being Japanese. It is true that you might experience racism in any Asian country. I have not once denied that, and in fact stated that to be the case. I simply explained it's not N-word Hard R racism, where it's because you are Black specifically.

They treat Asians (Chinese, Filipinos, Vietnamese, Koreans, etc.) WORSE than Black foreigners living in Japan. This is a well known fact.

You said you have 2 years experience-- I've got 17. I've been to Tokyo. I've been to the Kansai region. I've dated Japanese women and met their parents. I have Japanese friends from Hiroshima, Yamato and Kagoshima. I have posted evidence of my treatment in Japan. I have posted evidence of my half Black half Japanese best friend stating with his own mouth that he did not experience racism growing up in Japan, of which he has years of experience. I actually speak the language.

Y'all talking to me like I don't know what I'm talking about and it's hilarious.

In my time on this board, I've posted nothing but facts about Japan. The brehs that actually LIVE there like @Toussaint have backed up every word I've spoken here.

I don't know what more needs to be said lol
