They see Black Men the same way white people see them generally low status. So unless you’re famous or exceptional in some way Black women are meh to you.I'm sorry for the generalization it's just what I see (mainly online)this is something I mainly hear on line, but in real life too I honestly see white collar black women dating blue collar brehs less than latinas and white women. Asian and black college educated women specifically seem against blue collar dudes for the most part
I know college women in general date/marry other college educated men obviously, but the dialogue I hear from a lot and mainly college educated black women is that they will NEVER date a blue collar/trade man. Why though?
It seems backwards cause if we're being fr in MOST places where black people live (like the south) the most financially secure black men are blue collar. But their biggest gripe with dating is seemingly "black men aren't earning enough".
Just from what I see, it looks like a lot of college educated/white collar black women genuinely look down on blue collar men. Obviously not all of them, but a good enough amount to notice it. I think educated women in general tend to lean against blue collar men but I specifically see mainly white collar black women talking down.
Respectfully
I mean White and Asian women are going after the dudes in Finance working at Wall Street not the plumber or electrician.
Actually now that I think more about it, I would say Black women are more likely to choose the plumber guy more than other races of women.![]()
If he owns the bus I would. Are you telling your sister or your daughter with a Ph.D to date a bus driver?![]()

a big city bus driver makes a grip and a subway driver??? forget out it far more than the average PHD non stem person.Bus drivers make good money.
Are you telling your sister or your daughter with a Ph.D to date a bus driver?![]()
IDK why bus driver has a such a negative stigma to it. The ONLY bad thing about being a bus driver IMO is you don't get 9-5 type hours with the weekends off right away. Are you telling your sister or your daughter with a Ph.D to date a bus driver?![]()

I wouldn’t worry about Bus drivers they’re in the category of Personal trainers when it comes to women.IDK why bus driver has a such a negative stigma to it. The ONLY bad thing about being a bus driver is you don't get 9-5 type hours with the weekends off right away.
Actually aren't Black women more likely to date in their race even with a man of less education? At least in Gen X and early Millenials. Also, the income imbalance in a lot of these relationships isn't as skewed as you think. I know a HR girl married to a plumber and he brings in substantially more than her with better job security.
I will say though, this is a question for women of all races since now all women of all races have more degrees than men.
I’m from NYC. It seems there’s a certain demographic of White and Asian women that are trying to live their Manhattan Sex in the City fantasy and get chosen by some “Finance Bro.”Where you from breh?
In the south, the white nurse/teacher and tradesman is so common in the south its damn near a stereotype.
