Why do Chinese people take offense when they hear how good of a country Japan is?

Some good info posted in here. Props to the Asian posters giving us some inside views on that whole situation. I'm surprised at the disgust some of you posters have for Americans asking if Asians can look at another and tell what nationality/ethnicity they are based on phenotype. As a black American there are many times that I can't tell the difference between an AA, Caribbean black or African unless they are dressed differently or I heard an accent when they spoke. I'm not sure why people are surprised that is the case for some people when looking at East Asians as well.

I watch plenty of asian media and I can sometimes tell and sometimes can't. Japanese usually look like more mixed version of chinese, but there are japs that can pass for southeast asian/mestizo. With people that know the difference, I maintain a little distance from mainland China. Too much negative shyt goin on. but in this forum I'd be lucky if brehs could point out China on a map, so I gotta say China cuz if I try to explain that Hong Kong is a special administrative region that has our own laws and culture and government and language and shyt (our roots are from China tho, like most east Asian countries, no matter how hard they deny this - look at Japanese and Korean language and written texts, they've vultured our shyt. about 4-5 years ago they had a alibaba special on pbs. either alibaba or one of those ali sites there. the chinese people they were interviewing were saying they cannot innovate. saying they're only good to copy shyt and production.. all i kept thinking is these people have a defeatist mind...

i deal with a lot of products. anything made in japan is quality and has good resale value. the japanese have the highest minimum wage over there and have respect for their people.
the chinese have yet to produce a world class vehicle.

He actually makes a strong point about Black/African history outside of slavery and MLK being omitted from history classes. There are many black inventors who have created many things we take advantage of today, but most people just assume some old ben franklin lookin white dude created it. This is partly why other groups think we're dumb.

Considering the Chinese are doing a ton of business in Africa, it couldn't hurt them to learn a little bit about the continent's history. China is the new economic superpower, so learning something about them could be advantageous in the future.

I think it's more advantageous to learn African history, and how Africans have been taken advantage of by outsiders, so they can kick those Chinese out. The whites went to Africa and raped the continent of it's resources and it's people, and then they brought some white jesus bible to make the people docile and complacent, because they feared retaliation.

Blacks need to understand how people have taken advantage of us and stop trying to be everyone's friend. You think the Chinese would allow a bunch of Africans to go into China and set up a bunch of profitable businesses? SHIIEETT.
