I don't think it's a black thing, or any particular race I think some people do it when using public grills for sanitary reasons. Also done w grilling smaller things like veggies so they don't fall through. Best ever - which I made this weekend, wrap up corn on the cob in foil w a slab or butter inside the foil and grill for 15-20. Can't even tell you the flavor in your mouth. It's amazing.

I have only seen people of color use foil. I have seen cacs throw their food directly onto a park grill or any grill.

Well I have seen both black white and also Spanish use foil on a grill. Personally I haven't eaten off a park grill in years and would be reluctant to do so but people do it and they still waking up for work in the morning lol

That's not a "grill" that is a purpose built smoker that you can also use to grill. It has a built in thermometer and temperature control system, which is what you would need to add to a regular grill if you wanted to use it to smoke
Again. It's damn there impossible to keep a consistent, even, constant temperature with a "grill".
Yes you can use the indirect heat method that you posted, but it won't be truly smoked food. You can't use that method with any consistancy when cooking things that take 4-8 even 12 hours like pork shoulder, beef brisket, smoked turkey, etc

Point refuted.

Cleaning a grill is a b*tch tho:noah:

I dont understand why, how or what people are doing that makes cleaning the grill such a daunting task. Scape the grate with a brush before and after, and maybe once every 1 or so, depending what type of grill you have remove and clean the second rack and inside of the grill which typically takes the same wire brush, a sponge and maybe 10-15 minutes.....

you scrape/give the grill a once over while the coals are heating up

Only in public parks do I use foil heavily, otherwise I use it on the upper level of my grill for veggies and the like, otherwise full char with my chicken, steaks etc. I love grilling though it's lots of fun, and cleaning it isn't too bad either.

who cares... once you close the grill you still get the smoke flavor and its the same amount of heat.

I've done it a few times when I'm not on my personal grill but I usually will poke a few holes in the foil. Yea the heat "should" kill the germs but aint nobody tryna roll the dice when you on a sketchy grill

Let lazy nikkas be lazy...

How you expect to get them grill lines on the steak and hotdogs ? If you using foil on the grill you basically got a hotplate..so whats the point?:troll:
It is to prevent stuff from falling in between the bars when you are grilling smaller things. You don't get the grill lines but you still get the heat to cook the meat.

:wtf: how my whole burger or steak gonna fall in the grill. I've only had hot dogs roll off the back or sides of grill

It aids in clean up. You don't have to clean the charred grill afterwards. You just remove the aluminum foil and that's it.
