How you expect to get them grill lines on the steak and hotdogs ? If you using foil on the grill you basically got a hotplate..so whats the point?:troll:

I don't know why they do that but it would be easier to clean....I only put foil on the bottom under the charcoal makes it easier to clean.

I just asked a friend, and they said:

So you don't have to clean the grill all the way, I guess.

Keeps it cleaner.

Could be right, could be wrong....sounds about right, though.

Because grilling or more importantly cooking over fire creates complex chemical reactions on the surface of your food and creates flavor profiles that you will never get with foil in the way.

Also the best and most sterile way to clean anything is with heat. If you light the grill and let the fire do the cleaning for you it's easy to use a brush and scrape off the dust after the fire is done doing its job.

There is absolutely no reason to use foil other then ignorance :manny:

I spray the whole grill and coals with lighter fluid to burn off all the grit and shyt from the last bbq and scrape all the stuff off while the grill is hot :manny:

I never bbq wth foil on the grill. Its pointless. Only time I even used foil is sometimes when I grill salmon. I'll wrap salmon steaks in foil. But never burgers, ribs or steaks.

:deadrose: @ the word INVEST on a grill accessory that's $5-$10 at most. I would think this would be standard issue cookware if you using the grill.

If you bbqing so fast that you think you need foil, you are doing it wrong. Keep that fire low and slowly smoke them juices out into the fire so they return as smoke.
