Can you explain that part?
Old time blackface included nikkas performing in blackface. You can't get more fake authentic than that. It still wasn't intended for us.

The fantasy of blackness, controlled. Its OK they're really white on the inside, they're not dangerous they won't hurt you, they understand you. They won't ask uncomfortable questions because they think like you without looking like you. Perfection.

p*ssy cat dolls sold black female promiscuity and sexuality without having a single black face. The fantasy black street prostitute fronted by the Asian version of a mulatto instead of Julia Roberts.

Jason derulo sells black male sexuality to white girls -- he bears a strong resemblance to Breezy, but he's a lot safer to fantasize about than Breezy. He's angel Breezy, safe Breezy... But not too safe wink. And it still ain't real. Pcd was blackface. Derulo is nikkas in blackface.

Found the performance I was talking about. I would personally be embarrassed but most of the people on these shows have awful voices and I rarely see what people find intriguing about them.

He's outperforming..... A white boy.

Think about it.

Both should be on urban radio, regardless of being too pop or soul

I dont think Derulo is "corny" at all. Its just that we've been conditioned to correlate dark, aggressive sounding beats and lyrics with black music. Thats why R&B even sounds "dark" these days with the trap sound. This is corny to black people because its upbeat and pleasant:

Its corny because his girls features remind him of white acts, or did you miss that part.

Katie Perry? Coldplay? Really????? That's not positive, that's them needing a nikka to sell wigga lyrics. Black as fantasy, but white after all underneath.

The trumpets are song of the south, not Tennessee. Derulo is a safe act, not a black empowerment act.

Think about what exactly? I'm commenting on the fact that the contestants on this show are awful. And the fact that he also seems to sound wonderful live.

I was looking through the other pairings on this episode which I was gonna edit into my post but they paired another chick with Hayley Williams which was another bad idea. Made me even more embarrassed for this girl.

bcuz what u think are 'black stations' are really hip hop and rnb stations, aloe and jason make pop music

But thats the problem. "Black radio" consists 90% of rap that promtes a destructive lifestyle and even the so-called r&b music is extremely raunchy and vulgar. Im not talking about adult r&b stations that would play Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat songs, im talking about OUR "pop" artists like Chris Brown and Trey Songs. I personally think artists like DeRulo and Aloe Blak are NEEDED on urban stations. How it is now, the word "urban" puts me in the mindset of trap/hood music that caters to a certain type of black person. We have enough gangsters and dopeboys representing. How about the "normal" black guy? See this is what i be saying. J.D is "corny" because he doesnt fit the stereotypical "swagged out" black male image. This thread is a microcosm of the black community in general

Here’s What ‘See You Again’ Would Have Sounded Like With Chris Brown Instead Of Charlie Puth

Plus, Trey Songz and Jason Derulo give it a crack.

by Adam Fleischer 9/14/15

“See You Again” is not only one of the biggest hits of 2015, it also became the most successful single of Wiz Khalifa’s career. In addition to Wiz, though, an essential part of the track is Charlie Puth’s emotional, catchy chorus.

But Puth was unknown to the public before the song soared, and it looks like there were some other options in line to sing the hook for the “Furious 7″-featured track. HipHopNMore points out that some alternate versions of the former Billboard No. 1 have hit the ’net, and though their origins aren’t confirmed, it seems likely that the label tried out some bigger stars before its release.

Here, for instance, is a version with Chris Brown singing the chorus. It also includes a verse from Tyga.

And now, with Trey Songz.

And how ’bout Jason Derulo?

And, in case you somehow forgot, here’s the final version, which the world heard and heard again, with Wiz and Charlie.

Which is your favorite?

Either way, it’s fortunate for Charlie that he was the one who ended up on the song — not only because it became a global hit, but also because it allowed him to prove he’s a dual threat, as the writer and vocalist.

“I wrote the song on July 17 at 6 p.m. — I know that because I have it saved in my phone, the lyric note…I want to frame that,” Charlie told MTV News. “I wrote it in 10 minutes, which is very unusual — usually songs take a little bit longer to write for me.

“I sent it off to Wiz and we actually never really recorded in the same studio, but he told me he recorded at Snoop Dogg’s house. And he wrote it really quickly, too, because it came from a real place for him as well.”

His "sound" (which is overall pleasant and non threatening) is deemed corny to black people. We have been conditioned this way. A poster named @Insensitive in another thread JUST told me its lame for black people to listen to Bruno Mars. See? We've been engineered for 400+ years to reject anything "positive" sounding. Thats why we are so drawn to the dark, demonic sounding trap sound.

Future makes music only a real nikka can enjoy. :mjpls:
