It's not a lie at all, KRS lyrically destroyed Nelly, Nelly isn't even on the level of KRS to try battle him. He got murdered lyrically, Nelly has no bars in the battle as dope as either KRS track...

Anybody who thinks Nelly beat KRS in any type of way needs their Hip Hop pass revoked immediately as they know nothing about battles or Hip Hop, KRS destroyed Nelly, it was a mismatch...

Then how can you be talking about the battle if you haven't heard the battle tracks? Lol.

But You Don't Really Want It was the killer blow that just made it brutal. But Over Here by itself would have won the battle, Clear Em Out if that counts also better, even though I don't even think that was really a Nelly diss.

It just wasn't fair the way KRS One schooled Nelly... Such a one sided battle...

First off I never said Nelly sold out. I said he is a Sellout. He was never a real mc to begin with, he was created to be a fruity pebble rapper from the start.

Using models to promote your videos, making pop friendly radio music, subpar and empty lyrics/songs , embracing the white crossover, etc. In hip-Hop this is a sellout, he has no integrity in his music it's all about charting and making money. Nelly is the first one to embrace it and not be ashamed of it.

It's a shame that I have to have this discussion and I already know you're on the other end, ready to fight me tooth and nail about nelly being a sellout. Save your posts, I got a report for work I need to do.

nelly just did him. thats what hip-hop is all about. dude had everything from street bangers to baseball raps. and he was doing all that fresh out the gate. i can name plenty of sellouts but nelly isnt one of them.

Man internet and time have been generous to Nelly. I liked dude when he first came out and I was in the minority. The internet hated Nelly 2000-until he fell off, and is now propping him up. Crazy

Let's be honest, krs just said that he can't get any shows in he US. Performing before 200 cats in Amsterdam and Kraków doesn't really mean that you are relevant. Nelly last single peaked quite high on the charts in both the U.S. and other nations. He's on a pretty much outsold arena tour, I don't know how that is seen as an L. There's more people working at the show than people at a krs show.

But then again I think Nelly is on a major.

the male summer jam demographic back in those days wasnt exactly nelly's comfort zone. nobody in that crowd was checkin for krs-one's ass either tho.
