Why did Kendrick play it safe with " We hate Po Po" line in Grammy performance?

I don't know if he fukked up on his lyrics or did that shyt on purpose :manny:
I think he did it on purpose. It's such a strong line in the song to not fukk up.

given the heat Beyonce is under and the little heat he got from his BET awards performance he didn't want those problems.

I'm a kendrick fan and i liked the African styled set but people need to stop hoping kendrick will be this militant rapper icon they want him to be and truely cross that point of no return.

Y'all claiming it don't matter really? He saw the backlash Beyonce got and played it safe.
How would that hurt him tho? It's not like he has PepsiCo endorsements. I just think he put so much work into the performance for itjust to be dwelled down to"We hate popo":flabbynsick:.

He never put himself out there as one. He's always been the hip-hop artists.

the endorsements he does have are geared around his race relations/political stance...red/blue Reeboks :francis:

Dudes are blind sheep to not even raise an eyebrow at the blatant cowardly omission of one of the most important lines of the song. I'm a KDot stan but its shameful.

Never even saw him as a dead prez, immortal technique, Mos def type artist but how u edit the most important line in the song? And how do y'all give him a pass in doing so? Standards low as fukk

I should neg every caping fakkit that said "cbs edited it" like a sheep when they know damn well they werent positive about that being the case, I just watched the performance and he clearly said some other bullshyt in place of "we hate popo", wasnt no cbs editing

and no, dikkriders, this isnt nitpicking.. its actually very important and a crucial part of the song.. him clearly leaving that out says a lot about him

I thought it was because CBS bleeped that shyt out not Kendrick?

There's a lot of b!tch made pathetic fakkets and borderline buffoons in this thread. CBS edited it as multiple posters verified. Quit hating just to hate, mad cuz your favorite c00n didnt win sh!t. Grammys finally got it right and you buffoons are all on your periods.
y'all still ain't realized a lot of the main Kendrick haters ain't black or ain't from America. At the end of the day they don't know the struggle & can't relate

I agree that's why people need to stop trying to force him to be that and just be kendrick.

Pro-black Hotep nikkas on instagram keep wanting him to be the hip-hop farrakhan and that's just not who he wants to be and people need to respect that.
