Why did Eddie and Rey become HW champs but not X-Pac?

Cause X-Pac did it the right way & never took roids.

Salute to the kid for being a 2 time HoF :salute:

Sex-Pac one of the most underrated workers of all time. He was never even IC champ

I hate how people like him, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn who were prominent mid-carders at one point were discarded once the likes of Radicalz, Angle and Jericho turned up

It's a damn shame, I mean he looked better, cool ring attire, the girls loved him, he was a great worker, & he was handsome. It's crazy how they kept booking Shane-O over him.

I wish they would've changed his theme music after the Kane feud though :ld:

They bulked up and transformed their looks considerably :yeshrug:

X-pac aura always reeked of mid carder.

It didn't help that he spent a majority of his years playing the goofy lackey that's just happy to be apart of the group.

Rey always had high marketability potential. Wwe was just the first capitalize off it.

Eddie stepped up his physique game & became more sports entertaining.

Xpac never made much effort to adapt his character & always ate off the plates of others. He was frail too:ld:

Yea well if Eddie never pumped all those roids he’d still be alive. Rey was on them heavy too.

Pac was a real one :salute:

Oddly enough? X Pac’s best chance to get a title would’ve been during his early 00s TNA run. His only comp would’ve been Raven, Jarrett, Styles and maybe Hardy

This was about as good as you could present and book this match (barring the heel turn ending), in terms of "oh shyt this underdog kid gonna do it!" and I still never bought it, and never would have bought it. You had the likes of Undertaker, Austin, Rock, etc all holding that gold, and then fukkin X-Pac this scrawny greaser who cannot cut a promo worth a shyt as your weekly champion?

Hell no. :mjlol:

Also here is their follow-up match, which is a PPV match. Could you imagine X-Pac working the likes of The Rock in programs for HIS world title? This match looks like a jobber match, if you didn't know who X-Pac was and just looked at him. It could only work as a fluke transitional champ, and he could never pull off a legit world champion in his life.

1999 Xpac probably couldve got a Christian type transitional reign had he been in the ruthless aggression era :yeshrug:

There are three glaring differences when comparing these two:

-Mic skills
-Ring attire
-Body

I know at the time Christian hadn't fully mastered his craft yet, but X-Pac is WOAT tier in all three of those.

He would work in say... AEW, or TNA as X-Division. Where your in-ring work goes alot further.. No problem he shines there. But compared to the other talent in WWE, and the inner company narrative, it's all bigger dudes. Even Benoit and Eddie were roided to the gills to look as big as possible when they got their shots. Christian wasn't that big, but at least had some kind of a body, and charisma out the ass.

I really can’t see any era where Waltman could’ve conceivably been a World champion. Not during the New Gen, DEFINITELY not during the Attitude Era, and not even during the Ruthless Aggression era. He was never big enough, believable enough, or convincing enough. His moveset was always whatever and he couldn’t cut promos. That was never supposed to be his role anyway, he worked just fine as a good Midcard hand and the guy who you face when you enter the company to see how good you are. Out of anybody who you could look back on and say what if about he’s not one of them

Again as much as I love the match and the work Waltman put in, there is just no way I ever saw him winning against Bret Hart here in this match, no matter how good he was that night or any night afterward

I legit first began losing interest in wrestling when Eddie became world champ so no. Lol
Interesting because the rest of the world turned on the WWF when they gave Cripple H a fake suitcase title in Sept 2002 with Rock gone and Lesnar..the new made star on Smackdown. Eddie was better than Cripple H any year you can think. Mid card in 98 and over as fukk during the nwo days of greatness.

Factual.

If everybody that was good in the ring and the fans liked was supposed to be champion, the title woulda been changing every three weeks. And we woulda seen X-Pac, Crash Holly, Hakushi, Steve Blackman, Scotty 2 Hotty, all types of MFs with it... 1-2-3 Syxx Pac was good, but he was never THAT guy.
