No lie I was heartbroken as a kid when Xpac lost that match,I thought he was gonna win and then Shawn ruined it

Because Rey and Eddie were way more talented and when xpac was in his prime, he was a midget in a land of giants /thread

X-Pac was just another white guy who despite being a solid worker was still small, couldn't talk, and never had a gimmick that worked outside of being the littler brother to cats people actually gave a fukk about. And all of this was a time where there was only one show with one belt and it headlined by Austin, Rock, Taker, Kane, Trips, and Foley.
By comparison, Eddie and Rey were better workers, had more charisma, more unique characters, stood on their own two feet, and helped Vince chase Latino viewership at time where there were two shows with two world belts and the two biggest household names had moved on.

Eddie could talk and had insane charisma.
Rey had his mask and was hella marketable to hispanics, and decent charisma. Didn't need to talk.
Nowadays I can enjoy Pac as a worker, but fukk if I didn't hate him all the while being the biggest DX mark. That should tell you all you need to know about why he never got any shots.

Rey wouldn’t of won that year but seeing how long he’s been around, I can’t help but think he would win it eventually. Rey is still over today.If hhh died, maybe he would've got the stimulus like rey did.

It didn't help that he spent a majority of his years playing the goofy lackey that's just happy to be apart of the group.
Rey always had high marketability potential. Wwe was just the first capitalize off it.
Eddie stepped up his physique game & became more sports entertaining.
Xpac never made much effort to adapt his character & always ate off the plates of others. He was frail too

I’m trying to think of a period even at his peak overness when he could’ve been the top champ, and I can’t think of any time. There were just too many bigger names I front of him. He would’ve had to be at his peak in 2004, or 2008 and on to be the top champion.

First because it would create a visual discrepancy.
that showed 123 was bigger than shawn michaels.
So now it exposes the work of 123 and hbk booking at the time as well.
Syxx never became champ because he jumped promotions.
After stealin eddy's us title and being chased in a stolen title match.
That then he jumped feds and returned to the wwe.
In a time. Where vkm had to be protective about the book.
So strappin up xpac again would create a possible visual conflict of interest.
That disturbed the book as well.
Next syxx to xpac had we hate you heat.
Not real actual heat to become a heel hw champion on a card.
Plus the clique were not going to let the best worker in their clique have the coup d'grace.
So xpac also had to wrassle a bump heavy style. That was also downplayed inring.
Simply because syxx xpac arguably was the best bump.taker in the e as well then too. So it is a number of reason like twenty one years old plus now.
