Facts. And she was holding his ass down while his fat ass was in a coma. :heh: And she NEVER fukked Furio. And what is homeboy talking about? Tony cheated on Tony 10x more times than Carm.:heh: The fact she still stayed with him ALONE is ride or die.
I never said she fukked Furio but she tried to, planned to, wanted to. She fukked other guys, tried to fukk more. Did YOU not watch? Whether you are a "ride or die" is about what you do in spite of. Not your reasons not to be. We know how much Tony cheated but she didnt. That was the part of her character being intentionally aloof and feigning ignorance about the life. She said she thought Tony was different and wasnt like that until she found out about Svetlana. Which is ridiculous and why Tony said "You know how this works and you always did". I didnt say Tony was a good husband or anywhere near it but cheating, stealing and filing for divorce doesnt make Carmela a rider. She was a typical, superficial detached housewife who just cooked and spent money when the series started.

nikka you want a slave not a a companion. :heh:

I don’t think any woman or man for that matter should aspire to be your definition of a “rider”. That’s some sucka shyt. You’d have to have zero self esteem to be your definition of a “rider”.
I dont think they should either but that was the context of the discussion.:yeshrug:

Viewing the entire Tony and Carmela dynamic through the lens of being Carmela, "rider" or a "good woman", (which is just ridiculous to begin with) you aren't supposed to view television characters through your own biases, and desire, while not comprehending the complicated gender/economic dynamics behind that marriage, Carmela "leeching" off Tony is exactly what Tony and Carmela signed up for, the man as the provider, and woman as a homemaker. Carmela was never supposed to contribute financially or "be a rider", or whatever, she was supposed to shut up and go shopping, clean the dishes. "But she's NOT A GOOD WOMAN", this is so outrageous, honestly.

That dynamic ruptured when she wanted her own sense of security, when she realized the increasingly likely fate for a mafia wife, after her husband is killed/indicted. They repaired it when she got her walk away money, and that's why Tony threatened to pull it, in his outburst, and later apologizes, as some part of him knows he's wrong, and he needs Carmela for his own fulfillment of his ID as a "good man", and "good father".

Johnny sacks relationship with his wife compared to Tony and every other character on the show always makes me crack up. Like him being a great loving husband to this mountain of a women and not being a abusive, cheating, degenerate with semi-open girlfriends is a major character trait in this world.

Who did carmella smash? I don’t think she ever cheated on Tony?

Took one for the team and slept with her son's guidance counselor. This happened during the seperation. shyt was funny. Tony and AJ are calling him faq this and that for taking an interest in the son of the woman he is fukking, then you have Carmella defending his ass, calling them homophobes. Wegler goes to AJ's English teacher and tells him to bump up the grade so Carmella's p*ssy must have been on some shyt.

Wegler was on some shyt. Dude fukks Carmella then breaks up with her when he notices she is using him.:mjlol:

The fact that people can't see how cruel and unreasonable Tony is in that scene, and how much like his mother he has become (despite the fact we all, myself included still like him) speaks volumes about how people view male and female relationships, especially on television. Tony didn't have the money, that's why he was harassing Carmela, he lost all of his play money and was losing control of his gambling, so he lashes out in anger at Carmela, and goes on a tirade, because he feels powerless and out of control.

Big facts
