Because black artist have moved away from authentic original hip hop like back in the 90's.Tupac kept his lyrics revolutionary irregardless of how uncomfortable it made whites feel which explains why he was able to sell millions while at the same time putting fear in the hearts of whites with his lyrics. Unless your music makes whites uncomfortable, I'm not listening to it.

2pac had the PERFECT direction, therefore,I can't go backwards by listening to retarded rappers like lil Wayne or Two Chains. My standards are so high after listening to Tupac that I can't go lower. When hip-hop gets back to it's original form, then you'll see record sells go up but while they try to pander and fit into white society the record sells will go down like you see today.

With the exception of Dre, Beyonce, Hov, and Diddy why can't black artists enjoy this kind of widespread monetary success?

What's this list about and where is it from?

Some of it doesn't make sense to me, like how Dave Grohl, Axl Rose, and Blink 182 guys are worth that much?

Besides the black artist you mentioned, I'm sure Kanye, Lenny Kravitz, Drake, an Rihanna are worth a lot.

That's because they deviated from the blueprint 2pac laid out. When nikkas stopped rhyming about revolution and started rapping about grills, bling bling and popin'mollies, is when the decline started happening.

Again, unless your music makes whites uncomfortable, you're not really doing anything.

Back to 2pac nikkas.

I noticed that black folk, when they stuck with superficial topics, have a short ass time span making money. Cats that were hot back in 2009, ain't even mentioned or remembered outside of a very few. You definitely on to something...

Even Public Enemy still tours the world. A person like Chingy is regular man status now.

Here is the reason....

100% truth although it may be hard to hear.
We as African Americans love gimmicks and fads, whenever that wears out we move on to the next.

It was never like this back in the day, stevie, mj, whitney, Diana Ross, luther has careers that spandex across 2 decades that wasn't uncommon, even past their prime they could tour and have a lot of support,

This is how country artist stay big because people that love country always support country music whether it's in style or not.

With the current state of our people music is almost soley based on style an fad and trends...true music is not appreciated it's almost like the more talent you the least likely you are to succeed unless you become pop or have a gimmick.
