He was 45, Bully Ray was in denial about how old he was. His choices were to get another year as is or not, and he chose ROH only to get fired there too
So what edge is like 50, he coulda had a decent heel run in the midcard. Their tag act was stale

I understand both perspectives of these guys. The Bully Ray character was a spotlight at a meh time in TNA, but in that WWE bubble, there’s no way they would’ve allowed it to work, so D-Von was very much right in his decision.

That last Dudleyz run was weird anyway. They looked like total relics, and Bubba Ray spent years getting himself into good shape for his age only to go back to the WWE as a Dudley and looking all doughy. He lost all the cuts and general physique he had prior to that.

:mjlol: at d-von was right revisionist history.

:skip: We all thought they got shytted on. That was one of the main reasons people brought up for why the Hardys shouldn't come back.

WWE doesn’t have any 45 year old tag teams now, not very often at all at any time in the past. D-Von was realistic

Exactly nobody felt this way when they were jobbing every week to scrub teams. Now since it’s cool to not like bully ray we acting like Vince was right.

I remember vividly giving the dudleys props for losing to new day and putting them over clearly and decisively. They helped new day get to where they are now

D-von was right. Nobody was trying to see Dudley Boyz being pushed. He knew they were:flabbynsick: and the attitude era was not coming back. Just stick to wrestling the young tag teams and put them over. It would also be a way to properly give a send off to retirement.

But this fat fukking mark Ray ruined it. :beli:

By all accounts Bubba has always been an a$$hole

But you have to give it to him cuz his career was done and he change himself and had a good run in TNA (even thou I wasn’t watching that shyt)

then he came back and did the same shyt again and nobody was trying to see that

I can’t stand him in ROH but he didn’t want to just be the same Dudley boy shyt so props for him for sticking to his guns
