Against Triple H.

Yeah forgetable shyt though by both of them in wwe as singles.
Brother D-Von and TESTIFY are absolutely still remembered, Bully Ray is not even a thing, to many wrestling fans.

That's what I'm really getting at. I honestly didn't even watch then :lolbron:

Those last few sentences are key. Buddy was going through a divorce and he understood the severity of having a consistent check. Most fans aren't clamoring for a Bully Ray return except for the hardcore ones. Vince knows about the Dudley Boyz, not Bully Ray. Ultimately, they were doing the right thing. Pass the torch over to younger talent and quietly retire. But Bubba wanting to go the singles route and try to to get a push as Bully Ray wasn't going to work.

Never really got the appeal of Bully Ray. D'Von seems at a good place. He was on the New Day podcast some time last year, and they were all giving him props for being one of the few older wrestlers who went out of their way to provide feedback & gave positive reactions to what they were doing as opposed to criticizing something they didn't understand.
Meanwhile Bully Ray thinking he the shyt and wanting motherfukkers to relive 90s backstage antics :camby:

Bully Ray solo in WWE would’ve flopped

I dont blame Bully ray, the Dudleys would have ended up like the Hardys had he stayed, he tried to get ahead of it and try to make a singles run work.. WWE breaks up every good tag team for singles runs but when a tag team actually wants a singles run he is so against it.. We all know how Vince get down, how can you fault Bully ray for trying to do something new.

He was 45, Bully Ray was in denial about how old he was. His choices were to get another year as is or not, and he chose ROH only to get fired there too
