I think we need to understand the political economy of Black male death and the class of Black liberals and Black conservatives and the class of Black men that are victimized by the state.
Prominent Black neo-liberals since Booker T. Washington and WEB Dubois have been separated from the masses of Black people. These neo-liberals reside with ruling class Whites. Those are their benefactors. Black neo-liberals benefit from the suffering of Black males cause through the suffering of Black males...they gain political power. They become advocates. Back then it was lynching and castration. Now it is Black males being murdered by police and vigilantes.
We have to remember that Booker T. Washington advocated for the submission of Black people under Southern Racist Benevolence. And WEB Dubois rebelled against that because he believed that the "Talented Tenth" of Black people need to be able to exert themselves and they cannot do that under White Supremacy. WEB Dubois did not care about working class and poor Blacks until he became a socialist and by then he was largely irrelevant. WEB Dubois to his credit came to the conclusion that the reason things do not change is because of his class of Black people that he loved to champion.
The Booker T. Washington/WEB Dubois class of Black people need the deaths of Black males therefore they need the state and White supremacy to murder Black males to justify their existence amongst the White ruling class. These Black folks represent their OWN interests.
With the raise of Black feminism we have something more sinister: the concept of Black Male Privilege. Black feminism from Bell Hooks and Michelle Wallace to the current time...justifies the deaths of Black men but relies on it too...because Black men are the face of Black suffering due to the disproportionate amount of deaths at the hand of the State. Due to the disportionate number of Black males in prison. Black women suffer, but Black males objectively suffer more.

This group also accounted for 15 percent of all 2015 deaths from law enforcement encounters, even though black males in this age range make up just 2 percent of the U.S. population.
Black feminists say Black males are violent, dangerous, misogynistic men, that rape and abuse women. The same argument that Birth of Nation has. Black female and LGBT feminists need to be the victim of heterosexual Black males so they can have political power with the White left liberal establishment. Yet at the same time, need to have the deaths of Black men to have power with the White left liberal political establishment - see BLM.
Black feminists and LGBT do no want to talk about suffering of (straight) Black males. They rather pathologize Black males. They will call you a sexist and a misogynist for pointing out that more Black males die at the hands of police than Black women. More Black males are in prison than Black women. Black women have more educated than Black males. Black males are the most unemployed demographic in the US. Black males are the constant and permanent underclass of White supremacy world wide. What sense does it make that Black men have privilege over anybody in the West?
Black feminists sold their soul to White female feminists. Bell Hooks is one of the most cited feminists of all time yet she does not have any citations in her own work. The foundations of Black feminism is largely opinion. It is not well researched facts. There's no way in hell Black feminism would survive as an academic discipline if it wasn't for the constant damnation and pathologization of Black males.
Black feminists reinforce the racist and sexist stereotypes of Black man and put it in academic canon. Which then is used by lawmakers to create laws that put Black men in prison. White people cannot say Black men are violent rapists without backlash but Black female feminists can.
Black feminists and liberals care more about their identity, more than the real lives of Black people. They do not want to stop White supremacy, they merely want it not to affect them. They rely on the suffering of Black men, mostly young and poor Black men, to keep their power.
There is a reason why the deaths of Black males are played over and over and over again while bougie high class Black people discuss it on CNN and MSNBC. Then at the same time, will be back on the air to criticize young Black males for the violence that goes on in the hood. Or criticize Black males in the academic papers, books and peer reviewed research.

Not black women that's for sure, And black feminists never advocated for single parenthood, all these are a bunch of misconceptions made by internet trolls.
