i totally agree with you..i feel that pure edm music is souless...i can fuk with house music at times but pure edm where those no instrumentation..i avoid that ish like a plague :scustjay: it;s kind of weird because i don't mind when rap producers sample from EDM:
..oh the kid is doing shuffling...lol lots of edm kids got buttburt when LMAFO took their dance and made a soft vers of it..just like we got mad when the cacs started " harlem shaking" lol "HEY THATS NOT THE REAL HARLEM SHAKE" lol

yeah i feel you..you can pretty much make this argument for any genre of music to punk, metal rock, electronic music etc but is it wrong to just reject the muic entirely because you don't feel it??

the only genres i'm willing to let a person say 'fukkit, its all trash' is country and western. screamo, and industrial.
its like 'dubstep' mufukkas hear skrillex and go 'wow dubstep is trash'... but really, that shyt is not 'pure' dubstep, so people are forming an opinion on a genre, based off something, that while popular, in no way defines the genre.

Same reason Black folks don't listen to jazz or funk anymore. But I agree, there is interesting techno out there. I always liked the old stuff, and also shyt like Aphex Twin.
