Why are there barely any young black adults in church?

You’re really not.

Since younger black folks decided there wasn’t no God and they can do what they want, nikkas have lost their minds.

Most of y’all nikkas need Jesus.

We’re going backwards.

c00ns be like:

We need the spiritual system taught to slaves to make them behave to act well

Don’t nobody want to hear no classic Atlanta homo tell them how to live their lives. Then spend 3 hours listening to a bunch of fat women try to sing like Luther Vandross

Church isn't a necessity. You can worship & praise whatever you believe the Most High to be from the comfort of your own bedroom if you choose. A lot of people go to church & don't reflect it once they are beyond those walls... & understandably so.

Major reason church is popular in the community is because that was one place black people were allowed to congregate without getting lynched. Cacs trusted them because pastors were supposed to be compromised and in their pocket.

Church and religion is like Thor and his hammer.

Thor thought his power came from the hammer because he was young and inexperienced. His father later told him the power is within him.

Some people need church, religion, god, etc., because they're too young, ignorant, or just don't understand, the power is within them!

They need to believe a sky god stopped them from whatever sin, instead of them doing it on their own.

Partly how hybrids made us lose our power. Made us look outward instead of innard.

Cacs know and have known that black people together have great spiritual power.

:ld: "If we can convince them there's a white sky daddy...maybe they won't wipe our ass out using their power."

It's why things not quite going right for us. We're the prayingness, holiest people there are, but we're losing because our power is watered down and unfocused.

My generation (born in 70s) stopped going to church in large numbers. Our children who are grown and have kids, don't go either.

It took a generation to interrupt the custom of church, and actually may be my moms generation. Cause there were many of my friends parents didn't make them go to church.

I'm a born again Christian. I recently left the church I grew up at after spending almost every Sunday there since 1999. I left because I'm too old to be in the youth group anymore (13-19) and my church has literally ZERO young adults besides myself. In addition to that, I love my pastor to death BUT I don't feel like his message really resonates with me. He tailors his sermon for the old people in the church. The congregation is 60% old people in their 60s & 70s, 30% people in their 30s & 40s, and 10% are the kids/grandkids of the aforementioned groups.

I then set out for my new church home. I've found several churches with LOTS of young people in the congregation, and I've found several black churches. Here's the problem I've kept running into:

-THE YOUNG CHURCHES ARE ALL WHITE/WHITE-PASSING LATINOS, AND I DON'T WANNA BE IN A ROOM FULL OF TRUMP VOTERS
-THE BLACK CHURCHES ARE ALL FULL OF OLD FARTS THAT CAN'T & WON'T RELATE TO ME

This is all extremely irritating to deal with. Can't no place give me that home feeling like a black church, but I need a place with a young adult small group that can empathize with my daily struggle as a young Christian prone to weakness in an unclean world.

I know once I had the option of going to Church or not I never went back :mjlol:
I'm not about to willingly spend time in a place I was forced to spend time in as a kid
This. I HATE going to church because my Dad forced me to go every fukking service growing up. Once I was old enough that I could choose to not go, I knew I would never go again.
